But when you say that it's only hard to off the preset reg the first time, a few question marks rise. Let say, you take off the reg, fly over to wherever you're going, and you have to use your airsystem again. You would have to use lock-tite on it. When you fly back again, you'll have to get the preset reg off again....how will this be any more easy than the first time?
Once you take it off and remove the loctite then you don't need to apply loctite with a compressed air cylinder. The force of the air keeps it together, by the time you can unscrew the tank from the reg the danger is far less than with a co2 tank.

We are working on ways to make all tanks as safe as possible with a design change to the regulator or valve (for co2) this is going into production as I type.

None of my tanks have loctite, Angel AIR's don't, Mac Dev don't. etc.

Some do... so the first time you take it off might be tough... but after that it's easier.

Removing the reg is so they can visually inspect inside it.

This is good to know...thx Manike. It does bring me to the next inavoidable question...why do presets come from the factory with lock-tite on them when it's obviously not necessary?

i was under the impression that the companys want their regs to stay on the bottle they put them.

say for example someone takes it off and sells it - if the reg is old and fails the company who made that reg will get bad publicity etc etc...

Nope, read manike's earlier response. Noone wants to get sued / rinsed by the American legal system, when or if a Tank blows of the Reg.

Anyone know if crossfire uses loc-tite on their regs. I want a crossfire dont want it to be loc-tited. Crossfire uses dot-cylinders if im not misstaken. But dot bottles are illegal to use in the uk. Do you guys have ce or hse bottles on your crossfires?
