customs is a spot check - i got raped for my own belonings lol bastids

You can make arrangements for items that will only be in the country temporarily etc. But I guess they would say, why did you ship your own few items over?

I would guess that you forgot to pack them and they would say, well bummer, were really sorry, but you won't forget next time will you!

When we sent our guns from Carlisle to Oslo we got hit with £160 quid charges.

Had a lovely argument with them and sent a not so lovely email and they were recieved a couple of days later with my email taped ontop of them!

But I got out of it by saying that they wern't actually being brought into the country (which they wern't) and that they would be taken back to England within 3 days and because of this they shouldn't be subject to import tax. Since technically they wern't being imported.

They never checked, so if you get hit with a huge amount (Anyone, I'm sure you won't be James) you could always try that.

Sadly with fedex its a tougher job. I shop stuff alot between here and teh US but because im staying over 3 months I have to pay..... BAD WORDS ;p
