Ultimate cant keep score

Had a small issue with incorrect scores at the first NSPL event. Was our own fault as we signed a score sheet without checking and it had given the result to the other team.

However it was easy to track back the result as the NSPL use score sheet signing and keep all the score sheets as reference. A system that works great. Can then change a result if both captains agree that a mistake has been made.

Signing sheets has to be the best way to keep accountability.

We had problems with 2 marshall calls on field 4 and 5. But those points have been raised with richard to prevent it happening again, only thing that can be done now .

People make mistakes, they are an intrinsic part of our game .. you make a mistake on the field and you are sent to the dead-box .. you make one as a field ultimate and people wanna hang you.
All perspective is lost amid a flurry of abuse and disappointment .. you haven't been dicked by this guy at all and to suggest as much isn't the right way to go about putting things right .. 'dicking' you implies intent, there was no intent here merely incompetence and yet you are the only one who seems to be disappointed which means I suppose, he did his job ok with everyone else ... and considering the number of teams they had there, I think if he only made one mistake then he's a fuhking magician ..how many did you make on the field of play?

I don't know the guy personally but I know what it feels like to be really disappointed with a head judge and I'm damned sure, this is not fair to the man and certainly not fair to the CPPS guys.

You end up your post by saying it's not an attack on the CPPS or Rich but after reading your opening few lines I'm finding it kinda hard to reconcile ..

Take a deep breath, wind your neck back in a few inches and all will seem a little less painful this time tomorrow ..

Yes did take it up with Rich, not alot could be done at the end of the day, it was only that Warped gave up there position that we were then awarded 3rd, but that was because Jimmy is a nice guy. I was speaking to one of your guys in the day, he said he had gone to the CPPS to win. How would you feel as a team if you played your best all day then lost all of your effort as someone couldnt fill a score sheet out properly.

I'd take it up with the organisers. If you knew you'd won those games, surely your opposition did, and surely Andy would. A chat with each party could sort that out. A possibly messy mistake to rectify, but everything gets put back into the right place.

This is not an isolated case with this ref, he eliminated a player at a 5 man when someone shouted from the sideline : On your right Alan: we could win loads of games if we just shouted things from the side line at opposition teams(this was before coaching)

Seriously?! Seriously!!? Take that up with the guy an the sidelines, not the ref. Man, If that was the case I or anybody could have f**ked up entire tournaments for everyone. This is just something you don't do.

I was on field 4 when your incident happened with one of the refs, when you came to me after being eliminated and told me what had happened, i went straight to the field ultimate and worded him up on it and he had a stern word with the ref in question, the problem was solved and didnt happen again on our field.

It did kind of suck what happened but as i said to you when it happened i can only call you out for being eliminated.

Fortunatly, we got 99% of calls right on the day on our field and concidering the amount of games we had to ref, that isnt a bad percentage.

Robbo you have only seen a very small amount of this story, this whole thing stems way back to the Masters, so over 3 years ago. This was only 1 of 2 bad calls against us on the day. The other call lost us the only lost game of the day, after reviewing what was done the rules used were totally incorrect. So now we also have an ultimate that does not know the basic rules as well.So no I will not wind my neck in because I have been biting my tongue and rolling over for this person to long. Enough is enough. I told Rich before I left that I would post, this is not about me, it is about a whole teams persecution by 1 person.
I do not want to go into more depth as I have had my say. It is a free world, if it was one isolated case I would not mind but at a certain point the dog must bite.
