i have read the version of the rules so far and i couldn't work it out - either that or i wasn't paying enough attention - i saw it said no plastic studs - are you allowed to use football boots with metal studs in?

it does actually say you can wear plastic studs what is says is:

7.06 Players may not wear shoes with metal cleats or spikes, including plastic studs that are mushroomed due to wear.

Plastic studs when they have been worn for a while and especially after being walked on concrete, a mushroom type thing can form on the ends of them this is just as sharp as cleats or spikes and can damage the barricades. I know this after taking the wrong boots to a rugby game a few years ago, and not realising i was rucking a player out the way ( could maybe classed as stamping )and ripped his back open including his shirt. it was nasty.

i just bloody bought a new pair of nike football boots aswell with metal studs ????

you can wear metal rugby studs, so as long as the studs on the nike boots arnt sharp (good example run them over your hand if they dont hurt and scratch) they are fine.

you cant wear running shoes with spikes, rugby studs are smooth, wont deteriate and cant damage a barricade.

If you get hit on your hopper, just wipe it off. If you get hit in the pack, do a run through.
