i did a search on the subject and found nothing so i am asking. does any one know any thing about moving from the UK over the water to America (permanently). mainly for sports.

In a word, not a chance, getting a visa to the states is near impossible, now they have gone terror loopy. You would have to offer them something unique, like the cure for cancer, for them to want you.
