Just one thing

half Tigers, half Shock X team. Good or bad??

I understand the reasoning, short space of time before actual tournament and to have two established groups would make sense. But. Will the whole team mentality be controlled so easily?? Is the captain gonna just sit back and expect established players to 'just go and play' or will there be a crash course in X-Ball and the way the game plays?? If there aint, no matter how well gelled the players are, 'WE WILL GET RIPPED'. The game seems different. If the older, wiser(?) players are on the squads to play then, by the looks of things (see phrase in caps).

This has to be done with the will to win, not to 'just play' because it's there.

Woods!

Q)I understand the reasoning, short space of time before actual tournament and to have two established groups would make sense.

A)They will play becouse they are the best players/teams in England right now! you make it sound like we are desperate and becouse of the time schedule picked Tigers/Shockwave. lol

Q)But. Will the whole team mentality be controlled so easily??

A)Team Mentality? we have played the best, lost to the best, beat the best, we have more combined experiance at the top level than any other teams put together right now, so what are you worried about dude?

Q)Is the captain gonna just sit back and expect established players to 'just go and play' or will there be a crash course in X-Ball and the way the game plays??

A)We will be training before Portugal together, and what exactly would you suggest the captain do when he aint even had the rules, formats, times, schedules or nothing yet?

A)What would you have done if it was your move done trials like Robbo?
And if so do you really think this would give us the best team(A good team will always beat a good group of individuals)?

Q)The game seems different. If the older, wiser(?) players are on the squads to play then, by the looks of things (see phrase in caps).

A)We have lots of experianced pros and i can tell ya the 7 players from tigers average 24 years old, we are still very Hungery and never want to lose to anyone! As for the Shockwave players for Xball their will be Matty Schmidt (old fart), but the rest of the guys playing average about 25. So shall we kick matty out becouse he is 30, becouse thats the oldest wisest player we have?

I think I can speak for everyone when i say we want to win, not
to 'just play' although i dont really know what you mean by that?

Hope this answers some of your questions,

Regards

Easy Al

it's always difficult to interpret peoples meanings on the forums but it reads that you think the Tiger/Shock combination are going to "GET RIPPED" because we are "older".

What????????

Older than who?

You must know there's WAY more to playing good ball than having just stepped out of nappies. In fact you CAN'T play good ball without experience.

Playing loose or not listening to your team are results of panic a classic syptom of lack of experience.

As Woz said the average age of the players is in the low twenty's and even the tigers youngest has worked/lived/played painball for over ten years.

Make no mistake the organisation has been unfortunate but the skills are far from it.
