Get you and the guys booked into the M5.

It will be fun and when your back has given out after the first days play you can head over to the DYE booth and have it sorted by Olly who will be helping the old, tired and needy.

:)
I have no problems doing that.....but.....(theres always a but)

We are currently being mentored (Bent to his will???) by the very same Olly who is providing his services (;) ) at the tourney.....sort of leaves us a man short.......no I will not say how good he is....his ego is already wrestling with Godzilla :p :p (No offence mate, but theres a lot of love for you out there)

Understand your frustration completely, Pete.

After having a Millennium in our own backyard (Amsterdam, Holland) for the last four year we saw a decline in attendance of the Dutch teams, we started out with 4 and ended with..... one Dutch team :(

But I am afraid that what happend on our forums in a small scale will happen in this thread in a bigger scale (because there are a lot more players here). You will get a lot of teams that will be saying 'we wanted to go, but we ....... (insert excuse here), but we will be there next year for sure'. I can speak from experience in saying that the majority of those teams will have another excuse next year.

All I can say to the teams that haven't registered is: GO PLAY!! Even if you think that you aren't ready/ experienced/ etc. It will be an experience of a lifetime. The atmosphere, all of Europe's topplayers and teams: you will have a blast! And about the costs, the entry fee for the M% is really not that much for what you get and at every Millennium there are enough paint distributors that are more that happy to strike you a nice deal for a top quality paintball.

On a more personal note: you guys should really be ashamed of yourself. First Warren's tournament gets cancelled becuase of lack of interest and now this. Be glad you get these chances. There are a lot of other Europeans that have to travel around Europe just to play a decent game of paintball! ;)

Pete ,

Take a look at this, think u were away in the states when i put this up .

http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=60645

Its always the same teams that put the effort in ,The young teams are quite happy to go and play and event that costs them over 80 quid most of the time ,all be it they could play for 2 weekends for the same cost . I see the same people at these events when shock are not training , so that says to me that there spending over 200 quid a month to play , so rather burn ure cash playing events, play 30 games in a day ,makes sense to me  u will learn far more than playing 15 minutes paintball in a weekend.

We have places up and down the country that allow people to go and play for minimal cost and lets face it paint is available from around 15-20 quid a case and the walk on fee is around 10-15 quid ,what’s stopping them ?

I have always been told , put the effort in and you have good chance of being rewarded.

we do have a small amount of walk on sites , people are just not willing to travel, they want it all on there door stop and to be honest even when its on there door stop they still dont bother !!!

UK Tournaments have been on the decline all year.

Warren Maxwells tournaments, Dave Stewarts Tournments, the PA to name a few. Yeah they are not on the same scale but have seen lower numbers each event/ each year.... Why?? They put in a lot of effort to give UK ballers the oppotunity to play.

I think its due to value for money. You play in the woods you pay between £55- £120 for a box of 2000 paintballs and play all day with a few breaks in between games, no hotel fees, no additional entry fees etc.

Millenniums you have to pay your entry fee, your paint fee, your hotels and over the 2/3 days you play a maximum 56x minutes for your 8 qualifiers 63x minutes for your quaters and finals (if your lucky)

I know id rather play millenniums and i will be there with my team but ask your self why more UK players have not entered... I think it will be due to cost and value for money.

Now i know people will say you have to have heart, commitment and drive and not worry about cost but when your a 14 year old kid living on your parents budget you cant always give/ afford the above.

(By the way im not a 14 year old kid)
