. And the bottle is de aired and removed from the regulator. I also suggest removing the barrel as well. ]
Read it again matey!

If you dont remove the reg from the bottle..they might well get the arse...apart from the fact that a plane is a preassurised box...how much Cocian/Heroin etc do you rekon you could squeeze into a tank?
Just because its difficult to get the reg off...doesnt mean they wont try..also, they wont be careful..and might just cut the thing in half, then your buggered...

remove the sticky out bits from the reg..bung it in a vice with soft jaws on...get a one of those Boa strap things from Halfords and wack it round the tank, and get it off..then..clean the threads and dont put loctite on it like the manufacturers do!

Rules for flight

Skeet is quite right the rules state

Compressed gasses must not be carried, vessels used for the transfer of comprssed gasses must be empty and be observed to be so.

This is interpreted as you gave to be able to see into the bottle. Next door neighbour is a customs officer I knew hed come in useful sometime.

You can try to get away with it, and you may do but if you dont youll have to leave the air system in the airport you get stopped at, better hope that aint on the way back cos they wont post it for you.

Then you wont be able to fly.

When you go through the check in desk do not say anything about the fact that you are carrying guns. Shock flew 13 times this season with our gear, and only had to say i was carrying paintball guns one one occasion in Potugal. If they ask if you have any special kit in your bag then say that you do, but otherwise keep quiet about it. Most check in people will not ask anyway.

You will need to pack all your kit in the bags that are for the hold, DO NOT CARRY ON any kit. One of the guys who came to Miami with us was stupid enough to carry his bottle and reg onto the plane which resulted in him being detained at Boston airport while they sorted it out:rolleyes: Fool.

You will have to disconnect/unscrew the bottle from the reg, and if you dont do it, and they find it, they will literally tear it apart with a lot less care than you would. If you dont take it off, you wont fly.

Pretty much the same as everyone else:

Barrel off MARKER to make it look less like a 'gun'.
Reg off bottle.
Copy of PGI in your hand luggage.
All other kit in main luggage.
Padlock on main luggage.
Warn airline before getting to airport.
In theory you batteries out of markers and hoppers... Customs don't like to hear things "whirring" in bags... makes them a little bit jumpy!

Some ballers have told check in and walked straight on to the plane with special bag handlers to treat your luggage better than usual.

Others (us) have told check in and then had the baggage handlers refuse to touch our luggage and us litterally running through the airport with the check in lady running us onto the plane minutes before it flew off.

Others who travel with markers regularly seem to not say a word to anyone and get straight on...

I think it all depends on who you get!

I would recommend calling the airline first and then staying schtumm at the check in desk!

Whatever you do...

Don't travel to Amsterdam with Monkey Love... EVER!!!:D :D :D

ok, so what if i took the nobble thing (the bit you connect to air up your bottle) of the side of the reg, would that be ok. and im gonna give Ryan Air a call in the next few days, just telling them what time and flight number our flight is and telling them what we will be bringing. will that work?

Still think they will make you remove the reg from the bottle to show them it is empty and not pressurised, if there doing there job properly this should be the case :)
