just adding helping hand for egg users since i had the same problem, if the lid cracks off at the screws, replace the loops with some epoxy, a steel washer n some fibreglass, done that and it works a treat... will have to do the same for all the screw holes since theyre all cracking :( .

o yeah, the other thing is, if you dont want the battery lid to crack the rails it hooks on, sand down those spikey things which make contact with the batteries a bit, and it puts alot less stress on lid.......

thats my 2p even if it is only vaguely related

on the speed issue... i dont see the problem really since my gun doesnt have ramping, n i dont think i can fire at 15bps anyway

I took all the battery internals out and re wired it. Plus stuck another battery in... spinds faster :) just sounds like its on its last legs. With all the battery connect internals out there is also no stress on the battery door as long as the batteries are taped. :)

I wouldn't listen to me though, as far as i know its probably the quickest way to kill an egg.

Isnt it because the Egg needs a time for the servo to be spinning at full speed? Every time a ball is detected it stops again, and from what I've seen it takes a gud fifth of a second to reach max speed...
so if you didn't fire at the max rate of the Egg then it would keep stopping and starting and giving you lower BPS...

Unlike halo which has constant pressure and so as soon as a ball needs pushing it gets pushed... then the spring recharges itself.
