at the end of the day, my eblade has been set up by Nicky T @ planet so im sure the gun is right, and works fine with a halo, but not with an egg. it doesnt stutter like some people say theirs do, it just doesnt go any faster than 11bps

as for timing it, shoot the gun over a decent chronograph and it will give you a bps readout (possibly not totally acreate, but a good starting place)

the 'paddle mod' is when you cut off all of the paddles bar 2 at opposite sides. ie 180 degrees between each paddle.

The idea is you get about 2 more balls in the tray, so every revolution of the paddle you are putting more balls in, i dont think it really makes a lot of difference. Not 6 bps difference anyway.

As well as that, a good trick that we used last year was to stick 2 of the cut off paddles in the tray just after the feed hole to stop balls going round and round. Instead they guide them down the feed.

Every little helps :)

yeah sorry to say, my egg is a bit rubbishy- sooo slow but reliable usually.
Ive seen the feed necks just snap off above the marker though: theyre far too delicate: battery door cracked off & broke into bits
The spring on the lid is too agressive! you have to either take out the spring or shorten it or else its too hard to open one handed

Saying that I saw a new Halo burn out its board first day it was used: smoke and everything!!

Or you could just buy a HALO.

I've got a halo......... used it until the first burst inside it...... never, ever used it again because of the way it's constructed and the headache it gave me. I stick with the Egg....... but we play the PA and it's handy having it.. no way we can break the 15bps cap when the hopper can't feed any faster :)
Right about reliability though....... we've got a big bag of knackered ones. But cheap enough not to worry about now.

We switched from VL at the beginning of the season.

Just trying to help out the remaining egg users :)
