Price rise

Steve - Exodus

Yes game fees will rise in 2004 mainly due to the increases in costs the organisers are incurring - marquee hire - toilet hire - staff to put up fields - and take down - air costs - hopefully a rise in marshal wages - buying sup'air fields - Insurance etc..................................most of these costs never happened in the woods. but there are always incentives to keep costs down, there could be more prizes in 2004 although the Sk3 will exceed 300,000 paintballs this year so thats not bad.

Watch this space as well as

Bull is right....as so he should be. The costs of putting on the tournaments that you players want is increasing. It would cost very little if we didnt get in the things u guys want as mentioned above. As players we have been paying relativly little for what we are getting and so the price rse is just in line with what it takes to keep the series in the black and running.

yeah i understand that dude and bully is correct in everyway as he as more experiance than anyother.
but i was just wondering where the extra cost was going to and why this season it has to go up?
i was also told that it was 50 entry per player(so you could see my point in this post) but liz has gave me the more realistic amount which is 35 which aint so bad.

bully what kind of entry fee are we looking at next season

and if there was anyway around it that maybe us as teams could get more involved more.

£50

You would see a very well off Steve Bull if the game fees went to £50/player, Yes there will be an increase but £30 up to £35 is more realistic - I can only speak for SK4 events.

Steve

Where the costs are incurred

Marquees - toilets - netting - air - sup'air ball fields - plus loads more costs that were not incurred 2-3 years ago.

The offer of help is appreciatted but it is the infrastructure that is becoming expensive.

An example of costs would be the recent STB event - It cost approx £7000 to stage the event.

Please note this is not a gripe it is in answer to a question.

We are thinking of playing 7 man next year but if its going to cost us £90.00-£100.00/day then both myself and my son will have to find another hobby!:(

There is no way we can afford £180.00-£200.00/month on paintball plus all the latest kit plus travelling expenses plus accomadation etc.

I am sure that these costs are justified but it doesn't mean we can afford them. I know neither Blakey nor Bully would rip us off!

Its OK for you young, single guys you have nothing else to spend your money on, but for those of us that have wives/mortgages/kids etc its not so easy.

There has got to be a way of keeping the costs down to encourage new players and those less financially fortunate.

Well i hoped Bully was going to put his prices up more so i could go to him cap in hand like to ask for a wage rise. But i suppose i will have to cope another year on the bread line:( .

However in reply to Rolands point about costs why dont you play just limited paint events or just limit yourselves when you play i have never seen a team yet who are not in the top divisions who would not gain by limiting team paint and moving quicker in an attempt to win the game in five minutes.

At that level you are only playing for a tin cup so enjoy yourself and keep your money in your wallet even in a hard game i can use just a hopper and two pots and i dont just sit behind a stand up and do nothing.

Bunkers will never move off the field if you shoot them so why do it all the game ?.

Russell said "i can use just a hopper and two pots and i dont just sit behind a stand up and do nothing"

No you stand at the "burger van" and arrange tea for the organiser - whats this hopper and two pots - I think it is a spelling mistake it should be a cuppa and two cans of pop:D :D

See you all on Sunday at Nottingham
