dont see why, i have a friend on Nexus, and i wanted them to do well in the states, just like everyone else did. it was a simple question, with no hidden agendas.

Not having ever seen them (Nexus) play, i couldnt comment on whether they were the best in the country. Whereas having seen Tigers and Shock play in 2 Millenniums and 2 M25 events, i felt better placed to offer those as my opinions as to who the best UK teams were. If i had seen Nexus at the M25 or Millennium then i am sure i would be better placed to offer an opinion on them. I wouldnt dream of making a comment on something i had never seen. i dont see what is wrong with that.

Nothing mate, it's just reading what you wrote with the whole 'no debate' thing could be construed quite easily as, well, 'the best team are Tigers and Shockwave, no debate'...and I imagine Pete would debate that.

Since Nexus, have only played one (?) event in the UK, it's difficult to judge them as the best team in the 'UK'. They may be, but how do we quantify it, if they don't play here, and don't play against other UK teams very often?

They are certainly looking to be one of the best teams in the NPPL S7, so they must have some standing in World Paintball, and as such we can assess that they are a top team.

I'm sure as they play more events here and in Europe as well as the USA that their position in the greater scheme of UK, Euro and International paintball will become clear.

True, i only meant that as they haven't played the likes of Tigers and Shock it is not possible to guage the best team in the UK right now. Its just like trying to assess who the top team in the States is. What with Dynasty dominating it would be easy to say them, however with the likes of Shock, Ironmen, Bobs, Trauma, Effect, NY Extreme and others playing NXL, it is impossible to say as they wil never meet this season.

Sam, have you any idea why previous teams from the UK have not been able to qualify for the Sunday club at NPPL's ?
You mention the likes of Aftershock, Miami Effect etc and their absence from the Vegas NPPL as somehow detracting from Nexus's result.
Well let me tell you something, it is the amateurs and novices who you predominantly play in the US on the Friday and Saturday.
It is these teams who have stopped previous Brit teams from qualifying and if I remember rightly, when Shockwave played last year's world cup, they didn't even have to play any Amateur teams, only novices and rookies and yet they still managed only one real win out of six against them.
So you see Sam, you mentioning Aftershock and co bears no relevance to us qualifying at all especially when you look back at previous Brit attempts to join the Sunday club.

As for over here, we have played in just two tournaments, we came second in our very first tourney beating a team called Shockwave in the process and we won the other.
The fact that you have never seen us play, should not preclude you from using yer head but I fear our exclusion from your initial list has little do with rationale and much more to do with other issues.
As for Nexus’s place within the hierarchy of things over here?
I have no idea, and I wouldn't be so arrogant or foolhardy to say we are the best, we still got shed loads to learn, but I tell you one thing, we are up there somewhere.
