I have wondered why paintball companies don't focus more on individuals. I have come up with some guesses: Without a whole team provided for, there is less chance the single player is going to be in the spotlight. In paintball, unlike basketball, the billboard player might be out of the game in the first seconds and not offer enough exposure. The strategy didn't pan out for Vans. Paintball players are more anonymous on the field, what with their heads all covered up, than other athletes.
