when you get in your bunker...if playing forwards dont just pop straight out because chances are everybody on the field knows where you are, take your time, watch and listen for lanes coming across your head and past your bunker and then make an informed decision on what to do...shoot tape or infield. this is where your backs will be shouting where they are so you can decide whether you can bump up or stick your gun out and shoot...oh in snake get in there quick and as far up as possible to create angles for yourself and look like a hero ;)

playing front and getting in yer opponents faces super quick draws markers onto you. sit tight and let them waste paint. you wanna be sure your backs are gonna be drilling anyone who is intending on muggin you out. play the game and take yer time. if you feel the opportunity is there then do some nifty run throughs. i dont think the idea of the front is to live forever. the idea is to be a royal pain in the arse for the opposition. living to hang the flag is a bonus :)

play from the highest position possible too you whilst still maintaining a low profile, practice crouching. it sounds stupid but you've got to be ready to move at any given oppertuinty, if your playing teabag side or mid, then you can get away with playing from your feet and crouching, if your playing snake you might be forced (most the times will be forced) to play from your knees, so practice from your knees snap shooting, reloading blahblah and also from your knees to stand to run, stuff like that. mobility is key.

also, if you feel somethings worth doing, ie making a bunker run or w/e then do it.
but make sure you asses 4 things,
1) how many players on there team/my team are alive?
2)how much damage is this player doing?
3) how much trouble am i causing?
4) is it worth doing, if i get shot on the mug and they take my position, will it swing the game?

Not sure if this has been mentioned but make sure you can make the bunker your going for 8/10 times in training. If you can't make it 8 out of 10 times its worth stopping off at a bunker and bumping up otherwise your team are a player down when there was no need :)

Run real fast. Keep your head down. Remember to put air in your tank.

And paint in your pots. Watch pro front players and see what they do. Don't hesitate when you see a gap.

Also look on p8ntballer.com and in the classroom section (look on the menu bar at the top) there are quite a few articles about playing front.
