Flatline

If you are running your tippmann off of co2 and get a flatline barrel you can chop alot of balls and if you've heard anything about the flatline it's that a break renders your marker useless. I found that after shooting 5-15 shots i would get a break everytime. So figureing it was the frost building up in the marker. I got a aci 4 stage x-chamber and havent broken a ball since. so if you're having the same problem get an x-chamber and you'll love your flatline more than ever.

the only reason why your flatline break balls is because it is not on correctly, you must make sure the barrel is firmly secured to the adapter. The fps should be set to 270 approx. You should use marlbles, blaze paintballs. There are a lot of miffs about the flatline but if it is done correctly you wont have a break. Also you got to remember the tippmann can only fire 6bps if you try firing quicker to get more that will cause breaks too! I have a flatline.

My standard '98 has never chopped a ball since I have owned it and the previous owner claims the same !
I see plenty of talk ( mainly from Speedballers ) about bps rates, but surely it is more important to shoot straight and on target than just let rip with 100 balls. It only takes 1 hit to tag the opposition so make each shot count. It can also be very frustrating for new players to go up against players who just shoot gallons of paint around the field - You are bound to hit someone eventualy if you play like this, but is does take away the skill aspect ( of Recball ) somewhat.

ive just created a thread about rates of fire on "speak your brains" and i think ive come to the conclusion that accuracy inrec ball is far more important than speed. where as in tourney play (ie sup-air) rate of fire is seen as a priority in certain areas of the field (ie back players), even to the point of risking accuracy slightly.
