No worries for that. From my experience tents are quite easy to hide things in but it is difficult for crates of lager to be hidden in there. Also we can pretty much see if there are cans or paint in holdalls from their weight and noise (did we ask you to jump up and down). This method was used many, many times to turn people away and was mainly used for speed as in reality there were only two people searching over 600 people many times over. It's not fool proof but it works in many cases just as well as removing items from the bags and was only used when very busy. Trust is also a key thing and with only two people searching we have to trust that people are not hiding things deep in the innards of their bags. With regard to the gate we were there to man it when registration was open unfortunately the location of the campsite made it difficult to enforce the rules as people had open access to this all day long, even when we weren't there. If you had reported the people who had cans to a member of the event staff, they would have been asked to remove them.
I will take you comment into consideration though.

Yeah, i chronoed myself at the same as you, checked it at 11 and it had jumped by around 20fps!! I mentioned it to a marshal and he said they were encouraging people to check their fps.

Anyway, I hope you don't knock it on the head, it's always good crack to play with the GBH boys.
Just encouraging people to re-chrono markers is a waste of time.. it needs to be enforced by marshals with on field checks. Site insurance requires players to keep below FPS limits. Getting hammered by some dangerous **** shooting 320+ fps isn't my idea of fun. Players could wear a unique identification number, and anyone shooting hot at repeated checks should be kicked off site. If players see the rules being enforced they will be more keen to respect them and the marshals.

The site access and safety zones were badly thought out. Just getting to/from the overspill carpark as a visitor was a nightmare. I got lit up trying to walk back to car. Most bounced but it still feckin hurt  This was despite the marshal telling players to hold thier fire to let us through, and me wearing a flourecent yellow jacket. It was a stupid decision to allow the entrance/main access road to be in play in the first place.

Renie.. come down to Ambush for a bit of pump action and have a ball :D

There should be fire rate checks as well in my opinion.

Too much emphasis is put on people with electronic markers to cap at 10/12/15 bps yet the organisers let the response trigger brigade blaze away at 20/25+ bps and do absolutely nothing to stop them.

Every big game I have been to has had this problem and it's not as if you cannot hear who is doing it but the organisers do nothing.

There was no ROF at the event and any fire mode, except for 3 shot burst and full auto

I did ask why, and was told it was too hard to police the ROF rule...

If you also factor in that tippmanns, are harsher on paint thus the users tend to buy harder grades of paint, a string of balls from a tippmann is gunna hurt

guy next to me at one point was useing 3 shot burst, and there was some ridiculous rates of fire out there, there was a lot of talk about zero tollerence and we wont put up with anything i saw nobody seamed to police this and there didnt seam to be anone around, i heard one guy go absolutely nuts cursing and sweraing very aggressive probley one of the worst ive heard on he field anyone know if anyone was kicked off other than the idiots in the camping throwing flash bangs?

The morning started ok everyone seamed to be walking and not wiping but we started in one place and were not told what our respawn point was and what we were supposed to take/start. I made my way back there as my battery i my rotor went and i had to get another only to find there was no marshall or anything there at the spawn point which added to the confusion.

It also didt seam that there was a lot of money spent on the field either the netting around the camsite was a joke you could see live players where there was no netting and where there was there was masive holes underneith. I really also didnt understand the problem with bringing in beer other than the fact to make yet more money dispite being told there was a massive cost in bringing a bar in it took me 20 minutes to find it. where was the massive cost exactly??? a table? some barrels?? there was more avalible at paintfest it was free and you could bring your own? where did my money go for this event? i didnt see anything that was new and after what was built at paintfest i was very dissapointed seams that more money was spent on pyro at the start of the day where i really didnt see the point. there was lack of cover and the spawn points all seamed to be very close and it was very hard to make progress without a massive surge of people.

Add to that the missing rotor gun and tank and i wasnt happy.

I wont be going to any more events other than diamond wars this year after this.

It was a cracking weekend. best super6 for me.

Drinking from 7am is the best! It really is. The traders were awesome and I fell in love with some of the custompb markers!! BZ and LiPs looked after us as they always do!!!

The talk from hammerhead was really awesome, I learned alot, would love to hear more from different manufacturers, the engineer in me loves the technical aspect of paintball.

Sunday was a great day, we only had 5+scoot but we just ripped everyone apart, it was awesome. I shot more people out at that game that any other game ive ever been at, target rich wasnt the word at times.

Highlight was chap telling us we cant go to the castle via the paths and Stella taking offense to be told we cant do something . . so we went and took it on the first attempt.

Going into last game we had more points and we won the last game . . so was genuinly expecting the win . .ah well, its all about the fire fights. And we had plenty.

Gooch was awesome, he worked his big chunky butt off all day, well done mate.

Only things I didnt agree with were the site beer only rule, for people like me that hoover up pint after pint it adds an extra cost .. I know the reasons why, but having "booze in main area only" would have been my preffered option. I just hope its not the future .. saying that, the pints were excellent, it was warm and I had lovely chilled beer nomnomnom

As for the tshirt ID, we did have the debate after last TCUK if I mind right. Make a thread in the relevant sections and make your points, ill happily chip in. Im on the arm bands camp. I hate not finding your team mates cause everyone looks the same . . but its a debate to have . .

The thieving is a first at an event ive been at. Im not sure why your blaming security, they dont know what marker everyone shoots . . how could they . . .

If people dont think this is value for money, go back 18 months, 2 portaloos a burger van and a 10-4 sunday game. Thats it. Unless BZ turned up.

Food wise, I miss Ram trainings food tent, nothing beats it at events.

Lastly, the bogs. I took a dump after the game had finished, out with super6 you would vomit if you tried that.

I love playing paintball with the team. Bullying scoot was just as fun.

I've been going to Shoreline games for a couple of years now and have never seen anything stolen before and it is early days yet. Admittedly it doesn't look good. However for Madness to say "the usual thieving" is plain wrong. I leave my wallet and phone and all my gear out all day and have never had a problem. I know a lot of people on the scenario scene and have never heard of anything going missing before at any Shoreline or Super 6 game.

ok naillist i would be wrong if i was exagerrating but i'm not i'm talking from experience i've played paintball for 23 years now and i've had four face masks stolen from me at various different event types from big games to walk-on.and on quit a few occasions over those years i heard of many a marker go missing. just go on ebay and you will see a lot of site masks gloves and markers and bottles on there.
so there are the facts so do you still consider me to be wrong.i wish i was but i'm not.it's the world that we unfortunately live in.
