Did you chrono it again? Temperature will affect pressure in the bottle and whatnot.

Just chrono it throughout the day, and if it's still chopping even at 280-300fps, sell it and buy an ego ;):)

As an A5 I will try and shed some light......

You didn't happen to be running CO2? nope air

Were you running a remote line? nope

What barrel was being used? stock

What Paint was being used? not sure

Does the A5 have any modifications? Particularily internals Vortex Mods etc? If so were they recently fitted? nope stock

Has the A5 been stripped down recently? nope

Was the A5 chrnono'd before? beginning of the day only

Has it been Chrono'd since? nope

If you can answer these I will try and help!

James

If your having problems, i would drop either BZNeil or BZThomas a pm or call them at BZ Paintball supplies on 01642 605000, they are Tippman dealers for the uk, all qualified Tippman techs and really know there stuff they will defianlty be able to help you out.

Try and have as much information to hand as possible and if possible try and find out what paint you were using as this does sound the most likely case to me but I only got my hands on a load of tippmans last week for the first time (off BZ) and they all worked great with site paint. These guys know there stuff.

Hope this helps

Chopping

Re chronograph the A5. It has been known for the FVA on the stock power tube to loosen as they aren't always that tight a fit.......

Where was the broken paint? In the cyclone? On the bolt? In the barrel? Or a combination of these?

It would also be worth testing it with different paint. If the paint has not been stored properly the A5 (being not the most gentle of designs) will have a worse effect on it then a lot of other guns.

If you get really stuck I would recommend a look through A5og as the answers to everything A5 related can be found there!

hmm i think it may have had something to do with the fps as it was at 290 anyway, and when i checked yesterday the paint to bore match was quite tight which may have also have contributed.

I will turn the fps down a load and then see what happens

Cheers big j and everyone else.
