Tippman A5 help - MAJOR CHOP

OK today when playing today, my lil bro was using a mates tippman A5.
First half of the day was fine, few chops here and there but nothing to bad.

Anyway we get into the afternoon and all it would do is CHOP, i mean like really really badly chop.
So i clean the barrel, will get a handful of shots and then it would chop and after the first chop it would fire about 1 in 10 shots sucussfully, so it was impossible to play with it.

So basically as it not being my marker i have not got the foggiest idea as to why it was doing this.

Any advice on why it was doing this will be greatly appreciated.
And so will how to sort it.

Also if it makes a difference it had a cyclone.
And im not sure where the paint was chopping, it was just spraying everywhere

Maybe the paint was too big for the barrel??

Or using summer paint in cold conditions?

we were using summer paint, but it was mostly fine in the morning (when it was colder) and it got worse as the day continued (warmer disbite the rain)

detents maybe?
i dont actually know if worn out detents cause chopping but worth checking though.

It had only been shot about 2000 times before today. It was fine in the morning apart from the odd chop, but in the afternoon it was unusable.
I had checked the paint to bore, the bore was a bit big but the bore was the same as on my marker and my marker was fine.

fair enough, but im wondering about the detents though, if there was the odd chop did it gradualy increase the chops? or was it all of a suden?

I am not sure, i will give it a blast in the garden tomorrow and see what happens
Anyone else any idea as to why it was happening?

ok cool mate, let us know what the outcome is though.
i DONT know anything about a5s but just a thought is there anyway the input pressure can be accidentaly increased?

As an A5 I will try and shed some light......

You didn't happen to be running CO2?

Were you running a remote line?

What barrel was being used?

What Paint was being used?

Does the A5 have any modifications? Particularily internals Vortex Mods etc? If so were they recently fitted?

Has the A5 been stripped down recently?

Was the A5 chrnono'd before?

Has it been Chrono'd since?

If you can answer these I will try and help!
