no, he means "White Lion", the 80's Hair Band that covered "Radar Love" and performed such memorable hits as... umm... Err....

Warrant did "Cherry Pie", Europe had the immortal "Final Countdown", Poison did "Unskinny Bop", Whitesnake did "Here I go again", Cinderella did the power ballad of "Don't know what you got 'till it's gone", Ratt did "Round and Round", Skid Row did the formula power balad "I remember you"... What did White Lion do? Argh! "When the Children Cry"? Perchance?

"White Lion" is really, REALLY dead. It was a mercy killing.

Tyger-you were the last i would have figured for an 80's cheeze buff:cool:

Lets not forget some of the other gems from that decade!!Warrant with Heaven,Winger did Seventeen,Stryper with Honestly,Poisons Look what the Cat Dragged In,Ratts Dance,Skid Rows Youth Gone Wild,Cinderella's Nobody's Fool,Whitesnakes Still of the Night, and Great Whites Rock Me:D

And while White Lion may be dead our local bar Mulcaheys just had Skid Row (minus Sebastian Bach),Thin Lizzy,Wasp, and Winger all in one week...80's music making a comeback baby

What I meant by White tigers was their show with white tigers. Its all I have ever seen them with. And also when they were in the Simpsons, they had their two white performing tigers.

Thanks for the music stuff though, Final Countdown is such a classic!

Well, how do I put this....

That was what I listend to through high school. Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, GnR, Warrant, Poison, Van Halen, AC/DC... I know all the hits.

(EDIT ADD : I nearly FORGOT "Dangerous Toyz!" Sheesh! I'm bad!)

I also did radio for 8 years from the 80's to the 90's, including a stint with a program director who was into DANCE. So I got a healhy dose of "Snap", "C&C Music Factory", Millie Vanilli, and so on. Heck, I'd play "Snow" just to get a break from it.

Then we had a program director who was into "alternative college music", where he found this stuff I'll never know. My favorite is still an all female group named "Fuzzbox" who's big single was called "Pink Sunshine". And, no, I'm not kidding.

So what did I play? Well, I'd play the rotation in the first hour of the shift, then play Rush, Beatles, Doors, Scorpions, Billy Idol's harder stuff, Vapors (I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so!), Peter Schilling, Gary Moore, Robert Cray, REM, Geez, what else? All sorts of stuff.

So, yah, I know my 80's Hair Bands. I'm not proud of that fact, but it's still there.

Ah fuzzbox!

Started out as

"We've got a fuzzbox and we're not afraid to use it"

re-emerged as the slightly more hardcore

We've got a fuzzbox and we're gonna use it"

finally had one hit as plain old "Fuzzbox"

Or at least that's how radio 1 described them once.
