2000 = £95.00

But I agree with Tom and Baca, the paint should be sold at cost. Never mind the fact that the day fee would then be £50 to £60, at least the paint cost would be what we pay in tourneys.... ;)

And you forgot plates for the food and sauces for the badger-burgers ;)
Well the per 100 price is average to high, balanced out by the quite good package rate. And I did say that was just a list of some of the costs, plus the site I work at has outside catering which makes life much easier.

We would never get rental customers in to the sites in the first place if they were told the game fee would be that high, especially juniors where their fond parents are paying for a group as a birthday treat. The majority of first time players in the UK are "hooked" by offers where the game fee is a silly amount like £5-10 with no paint or food included. And NO consumable should be sold at cost if you are running a business - I bet very few tournament players pay cost for their paintballs anyway.

And Baca you are right, it is an economic reality of paintball in the UK. No site owner is going to run at a loss (and why should they?), and the reality of things like insurance in the UK are ridiculous. Another thing I didn't put was the use of the land, as many site operators don't own the ground their site is on as the cost of even woodland in the UK is silly as are rates etc. - but I didn't say this earlier as tournament organisers have the same costs here.

Just to give you a idea of pricing in SoFLA for $25 us you get a marker(semi-auto) ,loader,tank(comperessed air) ,goggels and 200 rnds of paint and free air for the day.Extra paint is $6 us for extra 100 rndsand a case of low grade paint is $55 us mid grade is $65 us and high grade is $75 us those are all 2000 rnd cases.Now you have to remeber most places in US charge more than this were probably one of the cheapest places on the planet to play.

Collier, no point thinking about the minimum wage comparison as their cost of living is a hell of a lot lower than ours.

In fact everything is cheaper thats just the way to work it. Most of the time things from the UK are cheapr in the US.

Its an unfortunate reality of the cost of land (what you get for living on a tiny island), insurance (thank you litigation culture), and the fact that all the paint has to be imported upping the cost.

Although to be fair the paint is not really a major cost for sites compared to the others. Same as pubs - they get the beer pretty cheap, its the other costs that bring up the price.

Cost of living is cheaper and the min wage appears to be lower too so I'd say it is relevant, no?

And we have the americans to thank for that!
Its easy to pass the buck,

yes they are to blame for the american litigation culture, and they may have inspired ours but in the end we didn't have to copy them. Ultimately human nature and greed are to blame -
