Everyone who's anyone is getting indicted these days.

Seriously, I agree. The numbers are more manageable, and any kinks can be worked out before trying to implement it on a huge scale.

I have some other experiments I want to run, too, when you guys are done with those pros, by the way. I mean, do we know how long a paintballer can hold his breath if he really needs to? How many marbles can Mapp Chim eat? If Rich Telford only breathes an oxygen/ helium blend for a month, will his voice carry better or worse during a game? Science demands answers! Science also wants your sandwich.

a more interesting question would be

"if the 18 do get mandatory NPPL legal boards, which teams will benefit, and which teams will actually get fewer wins and struggle to maintain the position they finish in this season?"

I don't much care how many marbles people can eat, and telford would cheat with the helium blend, so the results of that test would be inconclusive.

Thanks for the Poll.
Not strictly true - 5% of people who voted don't care, so their votes should be ignored in regards to comparing stats.

It is kinda interesting to see that approx 1/3 of voters chose the PSP option, the biggest single option.

So what?

More than 67% do not want leauge-mandated boards, even if they are free, more than 80% don't want players penalized without proof, and more than 97% don't want the rule to stay the same.

So, the rule definitely can't stay the same. And we apparently can't just let the refs call it like they see it, and more people don't want league manadated boards, than don't want PSP mode, so...

Guess people in general would prefer PSP mode.

Of course, one might deduce that by simply noting that's the option most people voted for (even if you add up both league-mandated board options).

Given the sample size, the number of people voting for free league-mandated boards and people voting for PSP mode is the same, if you consider that anyone willing to spend $100 would take a free one.

The poll isn't written scientifically to begin with though.

People are sticking with what they know..... They are of the opinion that capped ROF in a PSP style 'works' and therefore is the way to go.

Which is fair considering none of the other options have been proven....

(as a personal note, I'm an advocate of industry certified and monitored equipment.... boards, markers, the whole lot. It's how other technology driven sports manage to police themselves, paintball just isn't mature enough to trust with such a mission. Manufactuers are in charge and the ones who set the goal posts according to profitability... The NPPL is suposed to be the league of the player and to further push PB into the public eye, not how to sell more equipment for the sponsors)

Genius.

Has it occured to you that one is not really possible without the other due to the costs involved? If TV contracts started to cough up the bucks it'd be different, but as it stands the agendas of all have to be considered, not just the players. Oh wait, unless of course the players wanna pay for everything...we all know how they love paying for stuff.

NPPL is doing a good job of pushing paintball towards the public eye...and it will only get better.
