Also...the aim doesnt have to be "Winning"...that can be a bi product of what you set out to achieve.

As Robbo says, his understanding of the game is such, it no longer becomes, quite as cut and dried as that.

Without knowing any more about Sergei, than I have read, he may use his analysis of the game, to predict certain outcomes. By making assumptions based on experience and understanding, he can then set out to try to ensure, that all these eventualities are covered leaving him with at least one or more players on the field, and no opposition.

Bi product of this...he wins:D

Thanks Robbo However got confused about the part where you break down all the parts concerning the game as its like all the players are playing his game which i presume is his right considering the amount of money he is throwing in.

I would have thought that would kill any natural skill a player may have. I mean does he direct them more tactically rather than in an individuals style of play or does he do both.

RL are awsome not slating them in anyway there doing it it works for them and i suppose he isnt going to give anything away that is working for him. Well nothing that gets posted up here.

Sergey's philosophy of play doesn't kill skill at all, it nourishes it.
Repetition is the mother of skill and Sergey's approach is, identification of component of play, refinement of said component thru an extensive training program and then reintegration of those components at the playing and tactical level.
His philosophy of team management has a lot more levels than this but this is the basic structure

Sergey is completely open with what he does as he has told me pretty much everything he does with the Russian Legion and has no problem in telling anybody else if they ever get a chance to ask him.
In fact, I am doing a major interview with him for PGi soon where we will just sit and talk for about four or five hours about everything he wants to talk about and no doubt he will go over some of what he does with his team.

I agree completely with that training method - you can see it in a far cruder form at training sites across the UK, theres teams that train simply by playing games against one another in attempts to improve their game, and then there's teams that focus on an element of their game - say snapshooting - and then run drills on that extensively to refine that skill, before reintegrating it into a game situation.

As Robbo says, it encourages skill and personal development, not hinders it in any way, by structuring training and isolating individual elements of the game I think it is obviously going to allow a much more effective training process
