Tom37 Go over the discussion that is "the science of paintball" and then figure it out for yourself!!!

Missy Q's post is a small clue for you, try not too miss it. Im surprised being a Marshall I would have thought that you would have seen enough games over the years in order to come up with some sort of theory such as a paintball travels at 300fps dont get in the way of it.

Niax obviously found it not that difficult a question to answer and managed to find some information that was relevant, so thank you Niax a very enjoyable read I had whilst listening too BBC Radio 2 the other evening. Im now aware how long it will take for a paintball to get to me from x y and z distances.

The rest of those who manage to acheive some sort of reckoning in life by coming onto forums such as these and belittling those who ask simple questions obviously live way too simple a life and need to get out more!

Im sorry my time is far too important to spend on the forums on a 24/7basis so I appologise if my initial post didnt supply enough information to go on before abandoning the thread in order to go to work.

Im only new to the sport so any sort of information would be useful before I get out there and play my first game!!
without trying to noob bash etc, frankly id rather spend my time actually playing paintball than reading a thesis on it.

i didnt actually read the whole article... "Im sorry my time is far too important to spend" on this kind of thing ( ive got forums to go on:rolleyes: ;) )

anyway is it just basic mechanics? like s=1/2(u+v)t?
i would post the balanced thing, but cant be botherred to look up the feet/meters conversion.

The only 'science' in paintball is experience.

The more experience you have the more likely you will know what is going to happen. There is no definitive answer to paintball only what you learn through playing.

I understand what you are getting at here Chris, and to some extent you are correct because for the most part, the average paintballer should learn the science of paintball empirically but....there is also a case to answer that suggests some people, people like Sergey etc can push back the boundaries of paintball by having a true understanding of the science of paintball.

He (and a few others) can work outside the boundaries of mere experience and push this game forward by theorising and he can only do this because he does understand the science of paintball.

Empirically does that mean the more money you throw in the better you will be??

Everyone talks about paintball like it is a sport do they have random drug testing the feeling for speed comment brought another thought to mind??

On another note Im glad that people have decided to add some grey matter to this thread at last thankyou for your input
