first there were pumps then there was the cocker.
then there was mag vrs cocker
then there was angel vrs mag vrs cocker
the mag sadly (as it is a great peice of engineering) died a messy death
then there were a pile of electros and a few die hard cocker users
then came the hinge frame and cockers came back again
then came the next generation of electos and the race was born, cockers went underground for a while
then the eblade was born and cockers ruled the earth
then came eblade vrs new gen elecros
then came e2
the cocker slipped back into hybernation for a while as the ego was born
now the latest generation of electos rule the planet....but cocker sleeps, it will be back.....one day

hehe it always comes back! big, chunky, reliable, once you shot one there is always a place in your kit bag for one!

vents were always the best mask and they too are coming back i hear :)
I do agree that Cockers are going to be popular again, but not as much as TJ seems to think. Their day is over, they will always be around, but I highly doubt ever on top.

Ah, the good old days...scaring people with my Uprising Framed minicocker....

I'll go out on a limb here and say that I think the days of the auto-cocking, backblock slapping fun are over, if the new Black Magic is any indicator. At least on the backblock slapping part.

Who knows, we'll see what happens. I don't think the 'cocker will ever fully go away, but I don't see them as a dominant design, unless the Black Magic is an unholy monster.

MQ valves are super nice.

I like the fairy conspiracy tale. Only thing I see off is that there is no trigger event (pardon the pun). K2 needs an incident to take advantage of to push the 15 bps thing into place, like someone getting hurt. Doesn't seem likely. I am sorry, whoever I just jinxed.

On the more important topic, that of K2's models: Bonnie was a more refined model from a more civilized age. When Darth Vader betrayed and murdered the Jedi, we got stuck with the current crop o' tarts. Insolent strumpets. That Candace needs a paddling.

A cheater board, a player insisting that he thought it was rof ramping only, and dwell ramping that adds another 80 fps during a run through gone awry... paintball doesn't even need to shoot the guys to make convincing enough stories of "lone gunmen," just ask Salm. These guys will take the fall and never deny they did it alone for no other reason than that the sponsor has someone watching their families at all times. Or, as in Salm's case, he is a robot made to resemble a player who died years ago.

Baca,

you said: VL has the new mystery hopper--just another pball lawsuit in the making

Not really - except perhaps as an annoyance; if you recall, the Odyssey-VL lawsuit was 'settled' with leave to K2 to revisit the issue.

It just may be that VL/K2 decided that since there were areas of potential infringement, that meant the design was really theirs, so they might as well go ahead and use it...

Pure spec on my part, but...

I was being flippant--big surprise--but given the willingness to litigate it didn't necessarily seem like too far a reach. Speaking of being flippant you get a passing mention in the 'VIEW' in the upcoming 200th anniversary issue of the world's greatest pball magazine, yes, PGI. You may want to be sitting down. And No, there's no libel involved so you can't sue. ;)

Not to sure on the details manike should be able to clear it up.
