The Real Power behind tha major leagues - forget Jerry Braun, Dick Clarke, Halliburton and the Rosicrucians, it's K2.

Why?

Well, rightly or wrongly, there was an over-riding perception in tha upper echelons of the game that the days of tha Cocker and the Evo were over as other guns and tha Halo fed quicker. Long time Cocker users like Nexus and the Wackers went elsewhere and there was a danger that Bud's legendary babies could lose their place in tha Pros' arsenals. I mean, how many teams in tha NXL or The 18 use Cockers? Exactly...

Then PSP introduces ramping and a cap. And so does Millennium. All of a sudden, you are at no disadvantage (perceived or otherwise) using a Cocker and an Evo. And let's face it, Cockers have got soooooooo much love from tha majority of ballers that they are bound to make a comeback. Tha only fly in the ointment is the NPPL's refusal to entertain a cap.

So, surely K2 will threaten to pull sponsorship of tha NPPL unless it introduces a cap. Tha NPPL will do it, going into line with tha other leagues with a 15BPS limit, then K2 will offer Dynasty tha biggest deal in tha world ever to shoot Cockers with Evos, and Budd's baby will be tha toast of the entire universe again.

K2 are the smoking man, tha power behind tha power, tha lizardmen from Mars ruling from Bohemian Grove.

It's like a fairytale. Only, y'know, with Paintguns and stuff.

C'mon, Beaks. Like those "tippmanns" are real Tippmanns kinda like BC's Spyders are really spyders.
And the only thing wrong with the Maestro's analysis is the feet on the ground working for K2. As a giant company they rely on the peeps in place to give them the info they need and assess the pball specific environment correctly.
When's the last time anyone talked seriously about JT. They're an afterthought these days, money or not. And Brass Who? If you wanna drop names what has NG done for the brand lately except appear on their latest throw together squad and play Poland to the rest of the NPPL's Germany for a game? (For any Poles who are offended by the analogy, I apologise, and feel free to insert "France" in place of Poland.)
And, in a stroke of masterful counter-intuitive analysis the Maestro figures WGP is on the rise cus they've fallen into the abyss recently. All I gotta say to that is there's a reason nobody sells buggy whips anymore and all the manure shovellers are off municipal payrolls--except in New Orleans.
Having giant wads of cash is a good thing but it doesn't mean you know how to spend it effectively. Do I have to start in on Viewloader and the skanky models to make my point?

I don't know, Baca, there's a new hopper coming out from the K2 Clan, and it looks like it's going to be a big deal. It's essentially a HALO at about half the price.

Okay, you got me on guns, but it isn't like the Karnivores are slow or anything, provided you can keep them from shaking themselves apart that is.

Oh, and their model, Shifra, she's gorgeous! Come on- how pampered are you down there in Florida?

What a rousing defense of the K2 Family there, Bullet. VL has the new mystery hopper--just another pball lawsuit in the making--and JT has one good-looking model. Are you sure you don't work for K2, Bullet?

Well, I gave it a shot.

It's too bad about the 'Cockers though, Brimstone was a better team back when they were shooting Impulses and playing on Hyperball tubing. It's too bad that they're now the lone champion of this once fine piece of kit.

How much do you think things would change though if Dynasty were shooting Karnivores next season? I in no way believe they will be, but it's interesting to think about how many more little kids out there would start scooping up Dynasty Series Karnivores just because the Blue Man Group started shooting them.

cockers will be around untill the next ice age, they have been in and out of fashion as long as ive been balling.
first there were pumps then there was the cocker.
then there was mag vrs cocker
then there was angel vrs mag vrs cocker

then there were a pile of electros and a few die hard cocker users
then came the hinge frame and cockers came back again
then came the next generation of electos and the race was born, cockers went underground for a while

the cocker slipped back into hybernation for a while as the ego was born
