We used to call Chavs "Townies" as they were typical town lads. The sort that buys a 1.1 Ford Fiesta and spends £12billion putting a rediculous body kit on it. They are famous for their neat white trainers, designer clothing and as much bling as you can wear around your neck. Bit like Mr T, in designer clothes, white, and poor taste in cars.

EDIT: and they live on McDonalds which shows exactly how sensible they are.

Nah i disagree with a Townie being a Chav

Townies = Trendy clothes but not the attitude of a chav, don't do all the weed and don't speak like a twat.

Chavs = Speak like a twat, do all the drugs, trendyish clothes but normally mixed with tracksuit trousers, socks over their trousers and either rockports or sporty trainers, and a cap pointing up as high as they can go.
