Moon and Mars

I think the feeling is a bit like: Dynasty have been walking on the moon for a couple of years now.... But suddenly the Russian Legion landed on Mars!!!

Legion on Mars?

i would say that it is Dynasty who have been living on Mars for the last 3 years, with the Legion now starting to walk on the moon

Its strange that by winning on event in the States they are crowned team of the year.

Fair enough the Legion are an excellent team. One of the best easily. But not THE best. Dynasty are the ones who set the benchmark season after season. I reckon the legion are the second best in the world.:)

If you're looking for the "best team of the year" just take a look at the series standings :p . But this poll is about the "team of the year". Dynasty were expected to do well and they did. Russians were the first euros to win a major US tournament and for many that makes them "the team team of the year".

Rod, congratulations. You guys have achieved what most paintballers would never imagine doing themselves. As competitors, Dynasty is at the pinnacle of the sport.

On the other hand, Dynasty really hasn't changed anything for most of us. I know you guys made a great training video, are nice to children, rescue kittens from trees, and stuff. As much as I respect the team and all its accomplishments, Dynasty's activities this year have been really good for Dynasty, pretty good for Dynasty fans, but haven't shaken up the status quo at all.

I never have seen someone who won first place at a tournament all burned up cause they didn't win sportsmanship as well, but some folks are just really serious about winning everything. Dynasty is even prepared to win costume contests at scenario games:

Thanks for the laugh, but I do take the sportmanship award as serious as the overall championship as should every other theam out there. It is important for the team out there to realize that we are all ambassadors to the sport. What we do and how we act is a direct reflection on the sport we play. For teams to except mediocrity from their players should be unheard of.

Good to hear, Rodney. Perhaps you could help clear up some ongoing questions I have raised in 'San Diego rumors' thread. So far nobody in the NPPL or some of our connected posters have responded.

It is sad, cos Dynasty is easily the best team to ever have played the game.
*ding ding*

winner.

Associate yourself with a company filled with a bunch of jerks (in the public's opinion, granted, I've never met them face to face) and you will be assumed to be a bunch of jerks also. I don't know you guys, you could be quite gentlemen, but you made a bad choice for sponsorship, IMO. Just as you are their poster boys, and your winning promotes their brand, their marketing and business tactics come back on you. Guilt by association.

I dislike that company for a large variety of reasons, and you associate yourself with them. Win all you like, I'll never respect that move.

Really, from everything I've read, you guys seem like decent folks (as far as paintball pros go), and if I'm sure if I meet you you'll be great, but I can't get past the crosshairs your wearing. Not that I really ever cared for WDP either... I would prefer they sell paintball products and not women and sex. Picky, I know.

Secondly, Dynasty is the friggin Jeff Gordon of paintball. Yeah, a few people love Jeff, but not like they loved Dale E. I don't know why, I guess nobody likes it when the same person wins all the time.

Move to Brass Eagle sponsorship, win ALL events, and then you'll get my vote. ;)
