never said it was the right thing to do, just what worked for me
Dskize is right in that it does thin your blood hence my 'you will bleed more than the norm' comment. Also most artists will deffo tell you to F off if ya come in stinking of beer, but I remember my first big tattoo hurting like hell (pain does go away once outline gets going) so I asked the guy if he would ,mind me going for a pint beforehand, he said it was cool so long as I didnt take the pi$$, *(naturally I had about four pints
, bled like a virgins fanny sitting on a black mamba
but felt little pain)
In my own personal experience the ink sat perfect and aside from the excessive amounts of tissue the dude had to use, there where no poor effects. What dskize says is indeed true though, beer and tatoos are not meant to be, but then again I cant see your local tatooist advising on a fluffy bag of columbias finest

Bottom line I guess is that if you cant hack it in the chair then dont get one done
