need to get hold of Tank for an exit
Personally, I have the same problem as Micah in the woods - the twigs only get in the way of my paint (oh, and I keep thinking bushes dont let paint thru! ).

On the other hand - playing Sup'Air all the time every time gets a little boring, what I personally want is all 'concept' tourneys, including things like hyperball fields, barrel fields, the Temples round field, that sort of thing.
Players argue that because the millenium series is all Sup'Air, then that's what we should always play/practise on. Personally I don't believe that, I'd like to see a little variety.

The woods are good........ But ,

Tourny play is definately best on all the concept type fields. Not just Sup'Air , but Hyperball , Hay bail , tyres , and anything else that you can stick in the middle of an open field.

Having said that , it is nice to go back into the woods every now and then. But we already have tournies galore to give you this , so an all 'concept' series would be excellent.:D

If you manage to sort anything , Tremmor would be interested.
Keep us posted.

think Bully should read this thread

I agree that the series 2002 would be miles better and miles more sucessful for all involved if it was purely supair/concept. Every woodland tourney last year I heard scores of people complaining about woodland tourneys. I think there will be a lot of teams who only play the supair legs next year, and drop out of the wood events.

Makes sense to go with the times, im sure a lot of people would prefer every leg to be played at the same venue every month and have regular supair/hyperball/concept than play a mixture of concept and woodland.

I think I said this earlier some place else, but it is relevant. Just telling people to run Sup tourneys from now on just ain't gonna cut it. As you are well aware Sup'air fields are far from cheap, so a site owner would have to cough up a large amount for something that'll be used predominantly by tourney players. Punters are not really that interested in it, they'll play it once for novelty value. Also, not every site can put up a Sup field for the simple reason thatit hasn't got the logistics to do so. The site could be totally wooded with no flat, open fields. How do you think the county will react if some site owner starts cutting down trees willy nilly?
It would be cool if we'd be able to pull it off, but don't expect major changes in just a year's time.

Out of curiosity who still likes playing woodland field tournies? All the teams I have spoken to would prefer it if all the tournies were held on either supair or hyperball
Buddha Buddha Buddha my extreme poster uber geek friend, stick to the point dude :D

Dont try and force this into one of your, "I can amass huge amounts of posts here-muhahaha" threads.

Err....did I miss something?
I was sticking to the subject (unlike you at the moment :D ), the only reason I got sidetracked is because of a comment somebody else made. If you'd read back the point where the sidetracking started, you'll see that I actually tried to steer it back to it's original intention.

So there :p

K I posted this earlier but it got wiped out, Please anyone who has already responded and those who are reading this the first time please respond with the following information :-

Type of fields you'd mainly like to play - Concept (hyperball/sup'air) or Woodland
Format 5, 7 or 10 man (I think 5 or 7 is more 'doable' as not many teams have 10 players
open(battlepack) or limited (hopper and a pot)
Team (just cos I'm curious)

If enough people reply and I'm seriously hoping everyone will, (this is for us at the end of the day) I will present the results to the current series organisers and see if they would be up for change. Most, if not all the sites that the series plays on do have open fields for tourney play, also I know of a couple of sites up north that could be used.

My aim here is not to run my own series but just to refine the one we have. Bully does an excellent job but myself and it would seem the majority of other players would like to leave the woodland play behind where tourmies are involved!

Please reply with the information requested.

Thank you,

Paul.

5man, limited concept
never played 7 man
10man unlim paint (but I can never afford it or have enough players. concept.

I'd kinda like to see it go back to say 25 on 25 in the woods, it would be humor. even 15 on 15 would be great. Imagin, 30-50 guys, shooting about 15 bps each in the woods ... I think paint companies would love that ...
