remember that in the US you can play legally in a wood with some freinds... so it's not all messing around with cheap markers.......... you'll know better than me what's acceptable. But in the UK I'd say most of the accidents are from fooling around.
Stands to reason, in the US, more markers means more accidents. There are more American football accidents in the US than the UK....... you just play it more, not doing anything silly. Bet we get more croen green bowling accidents than you.

Is it legal to play on public land anywhere in the UK? Here, it is a matter of informing the park rangers and putting up boundary tape, if I am not mistaken.

Not at all here, got to be on private land........and then that's got to be away from anywhere deemed public. Very different rules.
