what can we do

Lads as you probable agree since the season this year there has been a number of markers, kit, tops, bags, walletts etc been stolen buy F***ing twats,

If this is going to continue at Torni's arround the country then the torni organisers need to seriously need to think about security within the bays, tents ect were kit is left(PASSES INTO BAYS ECTS) Otherwise this will start to effect players, teams etc being able to play.

Last thing i would want is my marker and kit or anyone elses being nicked, we all know long it takes us to build it up from nothing.

If security is needed or not we all need to look out for each other and if we see anyone that doesn't belong, no matter how it may come across, it should be reported to a head rep on the day.

Any ideas chaps, as this is becomming a problem that isn't stopping.

cheers

Just to re-iterate, this particular incident happened on the monday, whilst the victims were helping to clear up afterwards.

The security on the Sunday was pretty good - I got within a foot of the marquee before being asked why I wasn't wearing an M25 pass (I wasn't playing this weekend).

I agree with us needing to be more vigilant. If I see someone walking out the back of a marquee during the day with a bag of kit, or even just a gun, I'd challenge them. If you've a genuine reason for walking out the wrong way with your kit, then you'd appreciate that someone has the concern to double check for you. If it happens to be a have-a-go merchant, then I've just saved several grands worth of kit being stolen.

As I've said already though, the easiest opportunities for thieves are when we're all packing up and leaving at the end of the day, which is the reason why we should never leave things in a neat pile for an opportunist to whisk it away.

it's building up........it was a mask, a mobile and some bits and pieces and s****horpe last year.........now whole sets of kit. Paintball is starting to get more popular so there's a market for nicked kit now.
The P.A had player passes and a secure players staging area, passes were checked thoroughly.......... looks like we need that level of security at every tourney. we can't rely on the honesty of fellow players anymore........'cos the general public (including scrotes or Necky B@stards as we call them up here) are showing up at tourneys............. Bad enough having my kit nicked....but for it to end up in the hands of some cat-shooting, paperboy blinding twocer??? they are bad enough with the cheap ass plastic pieces of crap from B.E. how about with a tricked out cocker and half a tank of air?

I think we need to make a move to getting secure staging areas at every tourney (we'll have to pay for it........or staff it ourselves) but I'd sooner take an extra charge at a tourney than lose kit....... look at the P.A....... I provided half of the kit for the Sunderland team and It's a risk I'm not willing to take.

Hope you get your kit back, the whole thing stinks.

Might also be worth telling paintballdirect (aka TVL paintball), they're the only shop that I know of in the Reading area, and they *might* take it there for gas/paint or whatever. Remote chance, but a worthwhile precaution.

I also noticed the scally cru, looks like they got lucky and now have serious potential to harm.

Sorry to here that mate i thought it was stolen off site at a motorway service's.

I know it is to late for these case's but we all should think about getting our kit insured, I saw a thread a while ago that mentioned some contacts perhaps it would be useful if someone could find it.

Sorry mate, didn't mean anything bad about scunny, just that last year we complained about the "public access" that led to a mask, mobile and some bits and bobs going missing...........but look what's going this year..... enough stuff to ruin an entire team.
From losing bits and pieces that are a p!sser to losing enough kit to ruin you...... in the space of a year.
We need to sort this before it gets any worse....... i've started a thread on speak your brains...security at tournaments.

It happened at Scunny as the tourney was within easy reach of housing etc..... (pure opportunists) now it looks like the scrotes are targetting us.
