yeh, im having a bit of a time trying to set up my own, done a few walk ons, and go punter hunting a couple of times a month... we have our own speedball arena to train on and its hard enough trying to get everyone there at the same time! so i can see what you mean about getting headaches!

plus at the moment we are still a player down to make a full team (again plug, if anyones up for a laugh in the colchester area, pm me) lol

Hmm, a point here is once you've got your team, playing against punters at a walkon isn't going to help your game much at all. You really need to find a team to scrimmage against or a bunch of good walkon players (supair sunday at Bassets Pole would be a good example) so that you can up your game with a minimal amount of spend.

The way a few teams work this, is that they use tournaments to get an idea of what they need to work on in training. So if you all have fine snapping skills in tournaments, but your breakouts are very weak, you do a breakout drill as part of your training that month. Playing against another team can be really helpful too, because you can get active feedback from the other team about your own mistakes and strong points.

Just my two cents
