Niall
Okay, here's a suggestion. Next time a paint sponsor shows up with staining paint you give him the boot. That was easy.
Easy for me to say, I know. Short of that how about a system of progressive penalties or fines? Soemwhere down this road if producers won't voluntarily deliver non-staining paint you guys will have to enforce some kind of restrictions or price for that failure otherwise nothing will change.

PS--Niall, if you're interested I even have an idea for how to assure players are using only sanctioned paint and keeping on site paint sponsors accountable for what they sell without hiring on lots of extra manpower to do the job. Drop me a PM if you'd like to hear it.
See, I'm not just a troublemaker.;)

I think it matters not what the EPA is 'supposed' to do at this stage, it can claim as its remit anything it likes but unless the Millennium board sanctions that representation, then it is all academic.

Basically, if the EPA is to have any teeth, the teeth have to be accepted by the very people who will be bitten :)

A harsh fact of life me ole mate but....with the degree of support you guys have got, I don't think the board will deny you but chronology is against ya mate, they have to validate you first and then and only then can you have some representation to the board...leastwise that's how I understood the situation.
Yo Slap Head :D

As far as I knew all the board agread to the whole EPA idea and everyone was happy. Now they have to have a meeting about it all!

I understand what you are saying, but, if they had already agread to it why have a meeting about it?

If however I am wrong then I am sure Niall will say he never validated the EPA idea and that is why they need a meeting to discuss it all etc :p

Baca ...tried to pm....failed email me niall.squire@virgin.net. Thanks

Pipes, I told you I would wholeheartedly support an EPA. I still stand by that.

I speak to Goose and you regularly, from those conversations I get great feedback, and ideas..... some of which we have implemented. So by nature I am suppoting you.

But

At this moment you are self appointed. Well meaning, but you need the mandate of the players you you have forced your representation on. When you have that support you can give me and the rest of the Mill board as much sh1t as you like.

So. From me. Support the EPA. Register now. VOte for Piper....Is that OK??

As for the meetings, we still have over 1/2 the agenda from the last meeting left! Its the bloody french bloke, he won't shut up! We'll sort out a meeting soon! We are all together again in December.

Pipes,

Further to last post.

The board have not ever discussed the EPA. I have given MY support to you, I can't singlehandedly validate what you are doing. I will let the others know of my support.

Calm down fatty.

"But just how does this help reduce the use of staining paint? Isn't it the manufacturers who are responsible for whats in their paint? Does the Mil Series expect the paint producers to make unique product for their events alone? Or do they expect the paint produced generally to conform to requirements of the Series? Either way what have the players got to do with it?" Boco

I dont see what the paint manufacturers problem is. Why do they feel the need to produce staining paint? I bet if you go out and by a case of ultra evils from the internet or something they pass the stain test. But evil still insists on producing staining paint. Paint companies need to learn that if thier product stains it wont be allowed to be sold.
