i'm still waiting for some decent pictures. and yes i am inbred but what you all forget is i have to by less presents at christmas.

i hope you roll'd whoever laughed at you

05 doesnt mean out of date, ions are a current production marker (well, SP going down the drain but otherwise the point stands).

not saying the protos are bad, but if you already have guns then it makes sense to just use those. theres no reason they cant be reliable.
This is the truth.

But then again, buying a new gun rather than maintaining your existing one is a paintball tradition.

Glad Im not talking nonsense.

As for the LiPS offer, give those chaps a call, sounds like a winner.

Maybe invest in some spares kits for the ions as backups, or fix them up and sell to another starting team ?

As for the letches in the thread, honestly, go on freeones or something

Haha righteo... I'll keep the pies to myself for now then!!

Okay cheers, what kind of support do you mean? I can give you a call sometime tomorrow if you would like?

We were thinking about selling the ions for parts, though I'll ask if some of them cant be fixed up, but from what Im told they just dont seem to want to work! We usually end up with one of our guys constantly teching one or other of them when we're trying to train.

LOL at that last comment XD

Most things with an Ion are due to neglect and granted its not difficult to break them as they arent the most robust of markers.

Assuming the electronics are fine, then you can get them running fine with lube (dow 33 or equivalent) and the correct size orings. Less than £15 wager to service the lot.

worth getting them fixed up and selling them working than for parts.

Imho a 4-5 year old Ion that has seen a variety of "owners" could well be in poor shape, its not just the o-rings, the quality of the material they are manufactured from leads to all sorts of issues with breakages and striped threads when handled by the less technically minded. That said though, some of the most reliable guns ever were Ions that their owners didn't mess with. I think that to make them 10.5 Millennium ramping they need something other than the stock board anyway. Given that expense an SLG isn't such a bad buy.

you can cap a stock ion board at 10.5, just cant get a legal ramping mode.
