They kept breaking, and it would cost more to keep repairing/maintaining them than to buy new protos. Also the protos are easier to use. With all the matches (training ones that is) ive played with the ions, Ive never had one thats worked all the way through.
If you know what your doing they are fine sounds like user error.

no offence.

The Ions are '05 models, the last tournament we went to we were essentially laughed at for using out of date kit. Besides, at least with the proto's you don't have to have nails/a handy screw driver to turn the thing on!

For gawds sake get a photo up of yourself (preferably in as few clothes as possible) before Missy gets here and joins the party ;)

As Cook$ said, a pretty face helps, in fact if you're all a good looking bunch it helps, it maybe well worth while getting a team photo done (no kit etc.) to send out to potential sponsors. Its not a question of what they can do for you but what you can do for them, a bunch of well presented individuals will go down better than knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Have you thought of approaching local rental sites and offering your services as marshals, you may get some training paint or other support in return for this.

Most importantly, you have cleared the first hurdle by actually managing to spell the word sponsorship properly!
Haha I keep meaning to but havent got round to it! Missy? I have a nice set of photos from a photoshoot I did a while back.. maybe a bit showy/ posey though.

Yeah I thought about marshalling, but Id find it hard to get to sites as I dont have my car with me at uni at the moment. However Im thinking about bringing it next (academic) year, or even over the summer, so I may look into it then. Doing it in the summer is probably a good idea... will get me used to being hit by paintballs even more XD

i hope you roll'd whoever laughed at you

05 doesnt mean out of date, ions are a current production marker (well, SP going down the drain but otherwise the point stands).

not saying the protos are bad, but if you already have guns then it makes sense to just use those. theres no reason they cant be reliable.

Gem - if you are set on buying Proto guns, then speak to DYE first and see if they will do you a price on a full set of kit for each member of your team.

This may work out cheaper than paying full retail on an SLG for each member.

Send Twizz on here a PM asking him politely for some advice - he's been around awhile and his teams are DYE sponsored at the moment.

As previously suggested, don't forget Planet and Angel - they are good guys.

And don't let people put you off asking - if you don't ask, you don't get. Unfortunately, at the moment, there is very little true sponsorship around.

:)

I think its cause our ions have been through a lot of hands, and therefore potentially a lot of mistreatment/ abuse!

I will have you know sonny jim we are currently in the middle of "no pie month".

I would also prefer it if you did not talk about "girls with pies" yet, when its launched we reckon it will be up there with Nuts.
