This one is the same across Europe because it's a religious holiday rather than a national "celebration". Easter will be the same across every Christian country in the world, same as Christmas day is.
ah....good one :D

They did a good job and I'm sure proud of them. :p :p :p
Lanche is playing strong right now, doing extremely well for their first year pro and I imagine their skills will only grow playing against Dynasty at every tournament. Give it some time, they'll get a win this year :)

I don't see how her comments get me any closer to figuring out why friday is more special to easter than monday is.

I'm asking about bank holidays b/c alot of things in europe have different meanings than in the US. In the US I've never heard of a bank holiday but we do have holidays that aren't religious.

Hey Booya,

The reason Friday is 'more special' to Easter is that the Friday before Easter Sunday is Good Friday, which was celebrated as the the day Christ was crucified. Basically the whole week leading up to Easter is considered Holy Week, but Good Friday is almost as important as Easter itself to many Catholics.

Just think about it you need 4 days of holiday/time off work to play a millenium event. Thats one day to fly in and walk the fields two days to play and a fourth should you make the finals. So if you hit a holiday period that already has a 4 day break in it why not use it, as everybody is going to be off work as it is?
Its not rocket science really.
