Jewelz,

I have to say over the years Ive marshalled a lot of punter days in the Midlands. Girls are always a small percentage of the player base, but on average they are better players at their first day than the average male newbies.

Perhaps its because they are more considered and less impulsive in an aggressive situation? Although my friend Jenny spoils that theory.. In her very first game, her first ever eliminations were mugging 2 blokes behind one barricade at the same time. She actually was told to stop firing by the marshalls. I was LMAO behind my barricade. Her excuse was well, She was Scottish and they were English and it was only right she showed them what she could do :D

Im just glad she was on my side....

hooked

wasn't even the first time i played!

Two of my mates set up a site on the IOM about 5 years ago, I helped them build the playing areas etc and when the site infernos arrived and I had the pleasure of being told to "just go over there mike with these goggles on" so i did and yelped a bit when they lit me up. thats when I knew i was hooked maybe it was a revenge thing i don't know, but I knew I was going to enjoy this game.

all I know now is this is by far the best sport around and I am still loving it 5 years on.

Long may it continue and long may my ankles be able to keep up with me!!

:D

My train was cancelled so i was killing time flicking through mags in W H Smith at london bridge station when i came across a feature in some kind of outdoor magazine about paintball. It was about Jim Scotts paintball site in kent called Battle Zone and the five page 3 stunners that were playing there as part of a promotion for paintball or his site. I was hooked.I played there the very next weekend, but hey dont get to excited i think the girls have moved on, after all this was in 1987.

Err..
Last saturday ( my return to paintball, havent played since I was 14-15,owned a pump razorback).I'm 20 now.Afghan fortress delta force in effingham, pushing up white containers and picking off people in the fortress, only had 50 rounds, got 3 of em.had about 15 rounds left.Decided to save the paint for the next round.(i was low on money)All of a sudden my mind became crystal clear and I broke out to the left around the side of their little bunker.Three of them crouching down. They didn't know what hit em and we won the game. Then aftwerwards I'm replaying the moment in my head as we are preparing for the next round. All of a sudden "What the f__k are you playing at?".
LOL I'm at the wrong end of the field with the opposing team standing all around me staring at me! I was buzzing that much.
