Time for a new thread...what does everyone think of the board's decisions?

In my (amateur player) opinion.

I think a'lot of the decisions stink...
Let us see.
Pro League - No problem here but, the excess Pro european teams, the USA teams where will they be playing?
In 8 events there will be 4 events with NLX teams playing, where will the other Pro American teams play?
The likes of Bad Company, Naughty Dogs or even Strange and Dynasty, will they be forced just to play in 4 events (the ones with Premiere League).
What about the AM A european teams that were going PRO this year, they just got screwed.

It just seems to me that the Millennium board is falling behind the pressures from teams that didn't support (attended) the series and ignoring the ones that did, or/and ignoring the vast majority of the teams.

Overall the Division system is a beautifull change, that actually kills the novice division. Because the majority of the PROS will be playing in Div 1, Am A will be playing in Div 2, and so on.

The promotion/relegation, it wont just work, paintball teams aren't like football teams, some of the paintball teams prefer to stick in the lower divisions just to win (normal sandbagging), the P/R will end a bit of this, but what about the following example. A team ends it's season in 1st place in Div 2 but the players will scatter by diferent teams of diferent divisions incluind div 3, where is the fairness?
The players should be force to go up or down, not the teams (team name).

Overall the series are becoming a money circus with a main concern for 12 (at maximum) PRO teams.
The rest of the teams, just got the finger.

I aplaud the reffing choices.

Dislike the field standart sizes.

And would like to start reading the rules, so I can opiniate about them.

Just my 2 cents, for what they are worth (not much)

Cheers
Jaime

i am looking foward to next year.

and think that the premier league and x ball will be great,

i think that the pros vs pros is good for everyone, the novice teams learn nothing getting smashed, and for spectators its better to see two big sides goin at it.

peace out homies

Btw I'still didn't understand if there will be inter-division games?

Nick
I really hope you are right and I just hope not to see PRO players guesting for Div 1 teams in some events, because their team isn't one of the teams that plays x-ball, and they can't really attend that event.
I really don't mind playing whatever comes my team way.
It's the principle of the thing.

Also looking foward to next year.
And really hope someone gives the more complete scheddule of the series for 2004.

Cheers
Jaime

So, erm... did I understand this right? (probably not): Premier PRO league and EXL will be at the same 4 events ONLY? What will the PRO teams play for the rest of the season? Are they expected to make the trip accross the pond to get their fair share of paintball?

Am I missing the point here?

I like the relegation/promotion idea. Keep things a bit more interesting.

of course u will kyle, because it benefits u.

I think its Fcuked up!

1 example is the psp. no actually thats not a good example.

basicly x-ball needs to finds its own league and stop trying to involve itself with other leagues. The ms was fine until x-ball jumped on board.

A 7-man super league would work. Look at the NPPL

Why does x-ball have to be apart of the ms?

Why doesnt richmond create and run his own tournament series instead of jumping and disrupting the ms.

Why?! Because it wouldnt work by itself. Thats why. ITS BORING. ie. Russia vs Usa, pittsburg final. alot of people left after the first qaurter.

Sh*t got to go now, home time. Hope that all makes sense. Was a bit rushed.

no they will be at different events, as far as i have worked out, so if you played for Tigers for example you will be told which 4 events you ar gonna play x ball, but if you are another pro team without the invite then you have to play the other 4 events without x ball and maybe only get two matches for your money!

then if you wanna play any more than 180mins of ball per season you will have to go overseas and play NPPL!

or you so up yours and play the whole NPPL season which sounds much better!

i think that may be the point Nick! why go from the world leading paintball series to the second rate X Ball series?

the reason the NPPL dont want to join another series is because they have got it right and do not want anyone else jumping on the band wagon! the MS would have diluted the NPPL whereas the EXL will have no bearing whatso ever on Richmonds products because they are always gonna be second best to the NXL.

all that will happen is the best couple of teams who can attract the level of support from sponsors will eventually move over to the NXL, EXL will fold and leave Euro land in the Sh1T again!!!!

If they play it smart, this will mean long term Millennium integration into both NXL and Super 7. If I was on that board, I would have difficulties making a better decision that does the same thing.

With a few strange details, I think they made a decision that fits most of the thousands of opinions in this sport. The reason why they chose (to my knowledge) a different format than S7 uses I do not know, neither why we are supposed to play in Madrid in July..
