If your only doing walkons you cant go wrong with this.Saying that I dont know how long youve been playing or how much gun experience you have so if your a newb my only advice is if you can play with a borrowed/spare marker of a freinds, do so untill your sure you wont play tourney! While the ion is great value (especially for walkon use) , you get what you pay for as far as markers go. And if you get the bug like i have the hobby will make you haemorage money.:D other wise if you know how far you want to take it save up for a more well established marker with a few more ups as standard. I only say this because when you get the bug, and you will, you will spend on upping your ion and for the money you spent you could have got a better marker. For me this is half the fun though!! bottom line is if your never doing tourny you cant go wrong if your going to get into tourney have this as a back up not your primary IMO. If you just buy the ion play walk ons, then decide to play tourney and buy a timmy/angel ect. you still have a ion as a back up in which case you can forget everything i just said.:D

i just sold mine but not because i wanted to, it was an awsome marker, and quite easy to work on too and i have little experience technicaly. very quite, pretty accurate, and so easy to use. i did wonder how the wrath would compare, as im a big fan of quick strip bolts but it doesnt sound like as if the wrath is as well finished plus its not a complete package like the ion. get it you wont be sorry.

BKO is worth a look, especially the PDS version. In the same ball park.

Between Ion and Wrath there is no clear winner, had both for review and liked / disliked things about each. Personally I think the Wrath squeeked it because of using cocker barrels, bolt and much better reg.

Full ION review will be in next PGI

My oppinion?

Ion + Freak + Air + Q-lok + Check it on/off + Fast hopper = Win :D.

Im sticking with my eblade, but 3 guys in my woodsball team have ions (2 of them like that setup i said up there) and it just shoots ropes of paint in a straight line :).
