Unfortunatly mate you are paying for the use of facilities, just like a pub charges double what you could pay in a supermarket for booze, you pay the extra for the service, facilities, etc.

Also bear in mind that rental operators have no interest in people progressing in the sport. The ultimate goal for most rental sites is to get people hooked enough to come back 2 or 3 times a year, and thats it.

As for everyone getting exited over the cost of paint in the US, the reason we pay soo much is our wonderful government!

for example box of paint in US +$40

Shipping $10

Import duty on the above at 5% $2.5
Vat on above at 17.5 % $8.75
SubTotal : £31.85 (.52 exchange rate)

Brokerage fee's by UPS £10

£41.85

so there you go, you are paying what the Americans pay, kind of.....
thats a point.... paint isnt made in the uk is it...

is it?

IIRC, encapsulators are about $100k.

Duties on that would be a fair bit... still might be worthwhile. After all, it was wortwhile to make paint for the players ten years ago in America. There weren't as many, but paint was more expensive. Hmmm. Then there is the craft aspect- a lot of paint sort of sucks.

Isn't there a company on the European contimnent that makes balls?

Ahhhh...well, why don't they stop making fluffy crap like penicillin and tylenol and get on to important things like paintballs??? :D

Tomahawk distributor?????

Formerly selling various kinds of paint, re-boxed from other suppliers or so the story goes. Victory isn't a paint manufacturer, merely a name used to market other paint.

A bit OTT.:(

This is the speak-your-brains forum, and that’s what he did. He asked for people’s ideas and plenty of people have commented on the costs that sites have to deal with, and now he knows better.

Also I doubt all those people are site owners, dispelling your arrogant assumption that only site owners have any concept of this.

And how’s he spoilt anything? Admittedly he was critical of the cost but he didn't necessarily blame site owners, in fact later he laid the blame at taxation, the cost of imports and insurance.

What is it your saying, that customers don't have a right to question the cost of a product?
