I always update, every year. Started back in the sport after a 20yr absence, with a new Dm10, then Dm11, Dm12 then bought a Clint Moore Dm13 signature new and still haven't unwrapped it yet lol.

I must say I am guilty of this my self,
when I first started my first marker was an ION bright pink bought for £80 with an egg hoppper, sold for £100 after I put a unitec barrel on it. then bought a shocker for £120 from an old team mate. this got sold for £170 after I put a new blackheart board in it. then I bought another shocker for £150 and ended up selling it for £150 week after then left paintball. until now and I am shooting a Vanguard Demon but I must say the new markers are completely different set up now there's no waiting and counting the amount of LED flashes anymore.

I've gone full circle, I used to buy top end brand new bits, or new releases which were being moved on by someone who'd bought and changed their mind. Now I buy as cheap as I can for the fun of it, I don't play much any more but there's a great satisfaction in shooting some kid who thinks he's the dog's danglies with all his shiny gear and my marker cost less than his playing pants.

Paintball is the most expensive sport iveever played but yet I'm 20 years old and I've been playin for 13 years I can actually say I've spent thousands of dollars on paintball

Lol, I know the feeling... U finally splash the cash on all the gear, go out and kick some arse, only too find u drawn back to the forums or retailers for more equipment...

I guess it's like cars once it gets a year or two old you wana change it...

But for sure if the Missus gives u a hard time (Cos for sure she does me) I always turn around and say.... "But do you really need all those f...ing shoes".

:p

Yep, guilty as charged here... I've been playing less than a year and I'm already on my third gun and 3rd set of full gear... However the way I do it, because I'm on a student budget, is make
sure that whatever I do buy, I can still sell on for as little a loss as possible, with the lost capital I call 'usage'. I'd love to hoard markers, I guess it's the prestige of saying 'look at my collection' and owning limited edition markers, or nice colours, or guns that famous people owned... It's human nature to
hoard, I guess for us paintballers it's a bit more expensive, but we still are adhering to that nature.
I recently bought a TipX for the excuse of 'Im playing scenario more, sidearm might be useful and it allows me to play magfed games too' but in all honesty... Yeah it was a new toy to mess with :/ lol

That being said, there is no chance in hell I could afford top notch markers (on a geo2.1 atm) if it wasn't for the existence of p8ntballer. Almost all my buying and selling is done here, and snagging those awesome deals is such a good feeling :D
