yeah i have seen the guy from dynasty do it on jawwbreaker 5 i think it is, dont know why he does it maybe its better for him but on the whole the amount of pros that dont do it easily outnumbers those who do. imo its easier to learn both handed then to try and learn how to play tight shooting righty out the left.

I depends on whether you only want to shoot out of the bunker to supress/shoot people, or to supress them to allow you to move...
Maybe it's ok if you're sitting in a bunker laying suppressing fire, but you always have to be ready to move or mug someone out
that's why it's best not to kneel on both knees but to either kneel on one only or stand with knees bent

imagine doing a run-through firing the marker right handed, trying to mug someone out on your right hand side...you'd have to turn your entire body

...or very spazzily do a gooseneck with your right hand

try it, sit down facing forwards with your marker, firing with your right hand
and try and shoot to your right, at even a 45 deg angle it's difficult, even having put it on the left shoulder- you lose all accuracy

I can't be tight in a bunker shooting left unless I'm shooting it with my left hand, & when I mug I change hands to suit the direction, how can you not do that?

& I'm not ambidextrous at all, I've worked at it until it felt right

don't cut corners.

well we can always solve this...ask Robbo :D & you know what he will say

Peace

well you'v said it all right there really, some people obviously just find one way more natural than the other, for me and one of my team mates it would be a case of learning to shoot with both hands because the way we do it currnetly is what came natural.
for some people switching hands obviously comes natural.

i dont think its a case of the people who dont switch being noobs..... infact not switching will probably be another paintball fassion sometime soon

when im bunkering right my wrist comes right down past the ASA and my elbow bends in touching my side, its very very stable, your whole upper body feels like a solid unit.... you have breasts so you might not be able to do it because of the position of the arms, they cross across the chest, i'll try and take a pic.

You are doing the pointing and steadying with you best hand aren't you, otherwise you are saying you are more accurate with you left hand effectively.
think that may be untrue..

if your right handed you tend to steady the gun with your right hand on the frame and the left hand on the vert-reg just for a bit of suppuort.

however if you change this, you are stedying the gun with your left hand on the frame, and thisis a bt tricky... unatural

its just a debate aint it, if anyone can come up with some good reasons as to why switching hands is superior i'll learn to.
;)

tbh i think its more like an excuse for big-hed pro's to feel
important and better than the ams' and novice.
(theyare bur they do like to rub it in abit)
and once the pros start doing it, everyone folows suit,
(as mentiond by a few on this thread)

i was acctuly hesitant to post this thread, but it turs out that i have got a better reception that i expected.
i was worried that i would be blasted out the water by making such a comment against left hand shooting :D

BAD TO THE BONE
Which ever side of a bunker you come out of you must have the gun in that hand. Unless yor moving bunkers

You present less of a target to the oppo because you are tighter to the bunker..... or at least you should be:rolleyes:

By being tighter, your oppo has to take more chances. Yeh sure he'll get lucky sometimes.
In practice If you do it on a mimimum 2-1 ratio: Once he does you: Once you do them and two he gets done by a team mate cause he's havin' to come out more often at you.

He get's eliminated twice as often because you were tight to the bunker because you had the gun in the correct hand

With practice your aim will improve with your bad hand but even so, the longer you stay in the game the luckier you will get.

As for pros that you see do it the wrong way... that's why they are pro's. David Beckham can put a 40 yd ball where he wants it 9 out of 10 times. Most others would have trouble doing it 9 out of 100.
