Thanks for all the info peeps

I get the Block at the back thing but....

Example....

Me with Electra Vs Him/Her with any Cocker.

What advantage (other than experiance!) will they have? I keep reading that all markers shoot the same distance with the same power outage so how would a Cocker be more advantageous than my Electra?

Any Ideas?

Cockers are closed bolt guns, and vastly more accurate than open bolt guns. It all has to do with how the ball eaves the gun while it is propelled by the bolt.

if the cocker was electro'd then it would be able shoot far faster than your gun, and more accurately (assuming it is set up corretly). The electro cocker can deliver accuracy AND volume, whereas asome open bolt markers that are also electros deliver accuracy BY voilume and go by the theory that if you fire enough balls, then one will hit the target.:)

the "better" markers are just more consistent....... better grouping of shots as they don't wobble about, vibrate or lose pressure between shots. Everyone is going to keep arguing about accuracy for ever, so best to avoid the subject :)
With a high end marker you can be pretty sure of where a shot is going to go, without dropping half way etc...... other than that your barrel to paint fit is most important. Just bear in mind that the more expensive guns are probably more accurate as they are better made and have a better elvel of finishing/quality control. On paper, any marker firing a ball at 300fps is as accurate and has the same range as the next............... but you get what you pay for. I can certainly put more paint into a small target with my timmy or E-blade than I can with most others....... then again if someone was to say "can you hit that with on shot"..... my eclipse cocker every time...... just personal taste really and confidence in your kit counts for a lot too.

The same rule applies to most things..you get what you pay for...eg. your marker...is a 10 year old fiesta...capable, does the job its designed for, but slowly, not very reliably and not as "poised" (accurate) as others. and not very fast.
A basic new cocker is a new fiesta 1.4...nicely built but basic...does the job quite nicely...not super quick..but quick enough...and reliable.

then theres a basic cocker with an E-Blade or Race grip on it...this is a different class of marker, therefore its a Nissan Skyline...technically advanced...very fast...still looks fairly basic...and very reliable.

Then..you go to the extremes...Nexus Signature series E-Blade Cocker...Very pretty, nicely sculpted body...fast as fast can be...eliteist.look after it and it will do what you want it to do...its a Ferrari!!

Angel Speed or A4 is like a Chevrolet Corvet pretty, very fast...but sadly not very "poised" and quite often goes wrong.

AKA Viking...well, ok its a big, chunky, heavyish reliable, efficient very fast BMW V8 Turbo Diesel saloon car. but not terribly pretty.

Intimidator...hmm...fast, reliable...expensive..pretty in a tough sort of way, but the styling is a little iffy and it has a silly name...Subabru Impeza, new model.

I could go on...but i wont...women can also be described with similar car annalogies.
