Security at tournies

This is not good enough, every Sunday night after a tourney, someone posts that their pride and joy has been "misplaced". Stolen is the word i would use, it's time that tourney organisers provided secure areas or lockers big enough to house a large paintball bag, at each table.
The open table setup is not working, teams need a secure area to house there equipment, which can be in the region of £2000 per person. That's £14,000 on a wooden bench, for anyone to pick up and walk off with.

We need security in car parks, and secure lockups for our gear. I know that tournies are not that profitable, but we as players will gladly pay an extra charge to know that our gear is safe from theiving hands.

Any comments from both tourney operators and players will help, so let's get this sorted quickly, before someone else has their marker nicked.

need to get hold of Tank for an exit
I think a secure players staging area, where only registered players and guests can carry kit in, and only registered players can carry kit out would be a cool idea.

Now where did I get that idea from  ;)

OK, so it's possible that you can walk out of the staging area with somebody elses gat, but they know that it was a registered player, and with only a certain number of players registered, it shouldn't take too long to find/hang/draw/quarter them.

yeah thats an idea flash or team designated areas where u need a pass to get into with ure photo on it and a tag on ure bag with ure photo on it, so to get in and out u have to show both to say security personel which will mean no one can run off with others kit - i wud deffo pay the extra money to cover for the passes and security personel :)

Best I have seen so far........

Maybe we should take a leaf out of the p8ce event in Amsterdam.
They operate a "closed" staging, fill station and chrono/field entry area. Only players can access these areas with I.D. and markers are not allowed from this area during the days play.

Its not turned up, but its worth noting that it was taken from outside of the secure player area. I think it had been left at a trade stand. And despite it not being in anyway the PA's fault they still put up a reward for information leading to a conviction of the thief. £1000 i think it was.

any one agree
yeah but the only time u wont be needing ure marker is when rue getting food, going toilet or going to watch another game sort of thing, so u will be putting ure gat behind the desk only to take it back in 10 mins ready for the next game
