Thats nothing new. Rich Telford did that in Tampa. Its a hell of alot better than the DQ.
As far as the VL vs Damage incident. Enlighten us Baca. I hear the guy ran through, got shot, kept shooting people, reloaded and still shot more people all the while the judges were trying to get him the f@ck off the field. Too funny, but it allowed VL to make the cut. :D

First, to Alt01--mixed reports. Have heard yes. Have heard no but he was on the field for Damage at the time.

Fab--that sounds about right except it wasn't one player, the whole Damage team came out charging looking for VL players to shoot apparently unconcerned how many hits they took in the process. The specific incident was the most flagrant overshooting in a game of nothing but and involved maliciously targeting the VL player's ear and neck.

The only reason it allowed VL through was judgment made by refs to score the debacle 100-0. If however, they had simply decided it was impossible to figure out and scored it based on the 2 remaining VL players after all the Damage players had been removed another team would have got the final spot for Sunday.

Beyond that I gotta wonder why? Why did Damage, with no hope of going thru, do that in their last game against VL? No common history, no known ax to grind--what possessed the whole team to go out and do that?
I further wonder if the NPPL (which was desperate to keep the police out of it) will even attempt to follow up on this incident or let it slide cause it might open a very ugly can of worms.

Thats is great. I can almost hear BJ's high pitched screams and I bet George was ready to rumble. Tom is usually overly sensative to being overshot so I find it amazing that he didn't put someone in a joint lock or choke hold. I love watching those types of games. Team Tidewater did the same thing at World Cup 10 man about two or three years ago and that was the last anyone ever saw of them. They didn't get banned they just broke up. With all this banning and DQ nonsense it just isn't as fun to play these events as it used to be.
P.S. Bleach that flask out before M*** catches something:D

EDIT ADDED: That would be TNG ;) and I wouldn't touch the waterskin or his gearbag with a 10 foot pole. :)

Without speaking out of school I've heard Tom was livid but kept it together. Given the so far absolutely zip that's been done about--apparently. I'll be curious to see how he feels about it next time I see him. TFP:cool:

Not so.

Talk to your Strange following and ask them to ponder it more. It will eventually come to them.

EDIT ADDED: You could be right, Boo. I haven't spoken to any of them yet, however, I know why it was done and if past grievances do exist they simply helped grease the wheels. If you're up for it hit with me with a pm on the particulars. I'm curious. TFP

Bet y'all forgot about this if you'd even bothered with it the first time. So just a little reminder. I queried the NPPL/Camille the same time I posted this thread since their policy is to not respond publically, mostly.
To date the silence has been deafening. I will continue to pursue an answer.

Sorry, kids. If you were expecting maybe some new info there isn't any--yet. I'm waiting to hear from Chuck or Perez regarding my initial query as Camille forwarded it to Chuck.

In the meantime maybe somebody knows something about this one. Remember the Dynasty v. Bushwackers dealio wherein Dynabots "lost" game and took a zero 'cus Lang turned his gun off before handing it over to refs?
I'm wondering if Ollie was also suspended for 6 games and Dynakids played short thereafter.
See rule that applies: (taken from NPPL website)

11.05. a.Surrendering your marker on request: when a NPPL representative requests your marker for inspection you must immediately surrender your marker without altering, firing, turning on or off, pushing any buttons or any other movement that might cause a firing mode to change. Those players that fail to do so will be suspended for six games and ejected from the event site until the suspension is fulfilled. The player's team will play short until the suspension is fulfilled. The player's gun will be confiscated up to 3-days for inspection and tested by the NPPL Scrutineer and if the marker is found to be in violation of sections 11.01 or 11.03 then the penalty from section 11.05 will apply and be enforced.

Hey, ITN - where you at?
Telford was suspended for the same infraction at the Denver event.

I know both Olly and Todd's gun were taken to the robot after the game. I know there was some funny stuff going on but I don't know the details.
