San Diego rumors--let's have 'em.

Ex-Fun Police
Okay, I'll get y'all started. And just so's you know none of these originated with me. I'm just the messenger.

No. 1--rumor has it a player was suspended for a year for his actions in the Damage vs. VL Allstars game. Even better is the rumor as to who that person was.

Question--if the NPPL is proud and willing to announce gun rules violations and the results why no official word on punishments dealt for the Damage incident. (More info at PB2X)

No. 2--word is the reffing was the worst seen all season in the NPPL. Anyone care to comment? How 'bout them lights at night? If the NPPL is only gonna run 5 fields and keep jamming extra teams into events forcing refs to work at night, in poor conditions, after being on the fields for upwards of what, 11 or 12 hours, is it any wonder?

No. 3--was Entourage targeted by officials in an attempt to keep a second Dynasty team out of Pro ranks next season? (This seems wacky even by my standards but there were folks who predicted it before the event . . . ) [Can't wait for ITN to have a go at these-:)]

Could it have been my friend TZ? He doesn't cotton to much dissin' and provocation.

EDIT ADDED: No, Tom was a pillar of gentlemanly restraint who was, IMHO, put in a very difficult position--if what I've heard is accurate. TFP

If they're going to make teams play at night (which I don't mind, it gives the games a "primetime football" kinda feel) they need to at least have lights that illuminate more than the local churches candle light vigil. Either that or hand out night vision equipment and play the games scenario style.

New Designer Cheat

New rule for surrendering your marker if requested to do so by a marshall. If a marshall thinks your gun is ramping in either velocity or rate of fire he will ask to take your marker to be tested over the Robot. If your gun fails you and your team are D/Q'ed.
However if you refuse or touch your gun set-up buttons you get a 0 point score and your opponents get 100.
Saw it happen twice, players asked for their markers and blatantly turning guns off in front of marshalls and taking the 0 points. Also some marshalls had the b*lls to take markers off people, where others would stand by as guys would blatantly be tripping their guns out, although it would take a good 30-45 seconds to get guns to the robot, plenty of time for designer chips to reset.:(
