Personally, I think the Mag was the greatest marker of all time because it was so simple and had so few moving parts, and hardly ever went wrong.
Tom Kaye was a frikkin genius in designing that marker,a frikkin genius !

Then he is a silly person. Apart from the fact they both have a bolt running on a central tube and returned by a spring they are about as different as two guns can get:)

As for the Stakos it's either a bad batch of bottles or the theory is correct that Luxfer and H-Pac have captured an alien queen and are milking it for horrid goo which they then surreptitiously introduce to Stako bottles and no others during filling using technology they stole from Area 51. I know which I believe, bad batch indeed:rolleyes:
its not a bad batch its the way they are designed, if you read a little more on the subjet then you will see this, rather than just jumping to conclusions, i cant see how a company making air systems for over 40 years would make a "bad batch"

cheers

one example of many : a delivery of one of the materials could be faulty

Cheers mate, always nice to be patronised rigid by someone who probably sells the systems concerned. I have trouble reading long words so certainly haven't read the threads here and on PBN and seen the release from Stako:rolleyes:
I do know Stako have said that bubbles in the epoxy on filling are a 'design feature' and that's just peachy, but I have a Stako here that has been used for both playing and extensive marker testing since September and it has no bubbles of any kind. Luxfer have some limited experience in bottle manufacture I believe, and they still recalled a large number of faulty bottles last year, so it can happen and until we get firm word from any of the parties concerned then speculation is all we have to go on. If it turns out that Stako's explanation of how the bottles can be expected to behave is the fact of the matter then hooray and we can all start using the bottles again, but if leaks through the wrapping is a design feature it's strange it's never been mentioned before now by Stako and that people in other countries have apparently been reporting problems for a while. I don't jump to conclusions or otherwise (too fat) so reel the old neck in and read up on product recalls from companies like Ford etc who have been making cars for a bit longer than 40 years:)
