This Colour Guard thing at sporting events seems to be an American thing, I don't think we do it over here.

Sure. It's just a different way of presenting the flag during the playing of the national anthem, particularly if there isn't one on site otherwise. Color Guard of usually 4 service personnel will march the flag out to a prominent place where it's visible to everyone present.

I personally think its great!

Its one way to remind us "American" paintballers that we have soliders fighting for our freedom and safety. Its also a standard for "american" sports to have the color guard at sporting events.

Most Americans our proud of our Armed forces and I REALLY DOUBT its going to put paintball into a "war" simulation stereotype.


Thats just like saying, I duck hunt with a SHOT GUN so I belong to a millisha(sp).

I asked a question cos A - I wanted to know if anyone else thought it was weird - some did, some didn't - and B - cos tha whole point of these forums is about debate, and sometimes if you wanna get a debate started you have to ask questions to get responses.

No hidden agenda here, just an innocent question. If you'd care to show me where in my post I offended tha marines in any way, shape or form then I'll gladly remove it.
