Nick, in the end, I just despair sometimes, I really do and I am soooooo glad I don't have to deal with them like I used to have to.

Nicky actually called me today to tell me about it all and I was aghast but when the shock subsided I was just left with that resigned feeling that generally accompanies such Millennium revelations.

You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink - and it really is as simple as that

I will call Barry and see what he has to say to be fair and post his reply up here ... I hope he has a good reason ......
I know - but sometimes there really IS a good explanation for stuff - sometimes mind you.... ;)

Maybe the company in question did not tell Nicky the full story - who knows.

I'll sit back and wait for your update :)

For now the company involved wishes to remain annonymous. I am sure that both parties involved will provide more details in the future.

The important thing to remember, in my eyes at least, is that this decision could have passed under the radar......

Why would the Millennium not what this?
Good coverage of the CPL, they can get money from advertising or the company that covers it will, get the event known more around the world and much more.

It’s good that a company offered this and it’s good that people can talk about it.

Robbo will get to the bottom of it. ;-)

I wonder if the reason would be access to the sponsorship income that would be generated by the webcast on its own site. The millennium series (rightly or wrongly) may see this as making a profit off their product.

If this is the case then it would be rather short sighted in the extreme.

I talked at length to Barry and here's the deal :-

The Millennium had an existing contract with another company that precluded them from being able to let anybody else film the event.
I believe this was One for One TV (Sorry, not sure of the name here) or something like that.
This company has since broken the contractual agreements by not turning up for this event and therefore the Millennium guys are now open to offers with regard to filming.

All's well that ends well apparently.

PS ...and I duly apologise for jumping in too fast with condemnation ...ouch, it had to be done :)
