away guys, give gups a break. For a start how many of you actually work at a delta force site not that many by the looks of it, also some of the marshals i have seen throughout the country (all sites)wouldnt know a grade of paintball if it bit them in the arse. I have learnt a lot about paint over the last 2 years in storage, use etc etc. And there is a lot more that goes into it than some of you guys would think to keep the perfect ball and its not the easiest of things when batches do differ so what is good for 1 batch doesnt mean its good for another.

1 brand of paint i used for a while i found that heating the paint made it worse:eek: it was better to keep it cool in the winter. This was after months of spending a lot of money on heating costs both at site and office. I was curious if not heating this brand would help so left a couple of boxes in my garage for a couple of days, it stopped breaking in guns and started breaking on players. How many of you would of thought this? when everyone goes on about you have to heat your balls.

Whats the point in speculating about someting because Df has got a bad name in the past, majority of it throigh the way they advertise. Business is business at the end of the day. And they are changing the way the company is ran, ive had customers come to my site and say they thouroughly enjoyed playing at a DF site.

1 mistake all of you are making is calling the guys who subsidise your paintall punters, they are customers just like you and me when I go play a tournament. If it wernt for these "Punters" as you guys put it do you think you lot would be paying £20 upwards a box. I know it wouldnt happen. The people who train at my site would not have the opertunity to do so if I didnt have customers as I couldnt afford to sell it to them at that price due to all the overheads i pay every month.

Anyway my rant over.

Why on earth would you heat the balls?
Heating the balls causes them to swell slightly...making them bouncier and harder. They were probably breaking in the guns because they were slightly too large for the breach and were broken by the bolt firing without the ball in the right place.

At our site we keep our paintballs inside a unit, covered with a blanket
On the whole, this seems to work absolutley fine.
We were actually told by our suppliers, not to keep the balls in a heated room.

in my defence i have no probz with gups, evrytime i meet her shes a great laugh. im sure we had a large number of boxes of paint goin out 2 customers with the winter fill markings on the boxes. yeah we do our best to discourage paint picking up. anyway if u want 2 discuss further i'll b happy 2 continue thru pm instead of public posting.

Does that make you feel big? I don't lie, Markie.

No and it shouldn't nether but look at what you said first about being "told" you stupid women.

I think its you that needs to get with the times and stop thinking that every one is on a df bashing mission.

And no i don't believe you that you test every single box of paint that comes through the doors for every single df you just backtracked and admitted that you don't..

You just make your self open to people to come and get you with comments about df if you just stood a step back for once then this wouldn't escalate in to what it is.

and dint say we are all against rec ball sites because we are sponsored by one.

actually gups says she tests every batch not every box which means a random sample of 1 bag (or the equivalent thereof, the balls will be pulled at random from the process by the manufacturers for QA) for each run. a batch may be a couple of hundred boxes depending on he size of the production run.....

having spent time in a lab doing QA work, i know how dull this is, but if done properly it gives a general view of the quality - there is still plenty of scope for a bunch of sh!te to slip through - no QA process can be exhaustive. to do so would use too much of the manufactured goods, cutting into profit, and too time intensive....

I know about testing certain amount mate and not testing every single one so it is in no sense that i am saying that.

What has incensed me is that she comes across as the great "i AM" and tells some one "TOLD" Then when it comes back on her she goes off on one with no meaning.
